F-15 Eagle: History, Performance & Discussion

It’s not usable for reports, the performance data appendix to the flight manual. It’s available on Google if you search for the TO number.

Is it distribution statement A?

I don’t know, it is just the appendix. That’s why it can’t be shared, but it has been on Google for ages. That’s why I haven’t shared it here. You can compare the in-game performance to the document at your own leisure.

As an aside, what are the chances gaijin matched the in-game performance to a restricted document almost perfectly by chance?

Thank you guys, but this still does not answer why the Sukhoi losses a little bit of thrust when the Eagle losses a metric ton of it.
Both intakes seem pretty straight. Hell, even the F-16 that has an even more bent intakes is able to generate more thrust

because Gaijin compensated for the excessive drag of the Su-27 with engine thrust.

So they are giving Su-27 special treatment?

No, they were just trying to fit their shitty FM into the schedules of a real airplane.

Oh so they just messed up the other parts and adjusted for it? I thought you meant that Su-27 was just really draggy and they gave it more thrust so it would be good

The Su-27 has low drag, but Gaijin couldn’t simulate it properly, so he just gave low engine thrust losses. In fact, all planes suffer from this: the EF-2000,the RAFALE, and the Mirage and F-16

Except for F-15 it seems, they just don’t seem to care about it since it has so much channel loss when it’s a straight shot to the engine

The F-15 also suffers from this when installing an engine in an airplane, you can safely remove 1-2 tons of thrust.

Then all the other planes should have 1-2 tons of thrust loss, but they dont

Well, probably best would be to compare it with existent ghraps… if there is any aviable and safe for posting.
Can say surely that F-15E underperforms a lot in case of non-afterburner speed at high altitude

Because Gaijin is trying to fit FM into existing charts, but without reducing drag or increasing lift.

Unless there is a source saying gaijin is right about engine channel loss then it should be lowered to the level of other jets regardless

You must realize that duct losses are pressure losses, not thrust losses. Of course there are graphs that show the relative thrust losses in the air intake duct and nozzle

Sure, but should the F-15 specifically really have this much loss? If they are taking liberties with all the other jets they should take liberties with the F-15’s as well
