Tropopause region speed is not adjusted exactly to envelope.

This is the answer which is completely false and wrong.

Yet, planes are getting and have been getting performance tailored at these EXACT regimes left and right for years.

Mirage 4000 — engine thrust and rate of climb at supersonic speed at altitudes of 6…15 km have been increased.

Mirage F1C (all versions) — Engine thrust at supersonic speeds has been increased. Climbrate at sea level and at altitudes of 9-12 km at Mach 1.8-2.0 have been increased.

JAS39A, JAS39C — rate of climb and acceleration at altitudes of 6-12 km at supersonic speeds has been reduced.

And many more updates like these can be found. CAn this can get a revision because, it is definitely done ingame.

And here is the report of the mirage 4000,
Tests done aswell in the tropopause region and it got fixed with less data than I used

How many structural reinforcement F-15SA’s CFTs have over F-15E’s CFTs? According to leaked manual SA can carry GBU-24 on CFT

@sudo_su1 any idea if the F-15E is missing SADL for its HMD btw? Currently has the same HMD as the F-15/16C.

From what I know F-15E does not use SADL, but has Link 16.

Spoiler

Datalink compatibility stuff can get very complicated and it can’t be taken for granted that all US ground vehicles let alone all NATO ground vehicles have compatible radios to communicate with Link 16 or SADL.
There is also the topic of relays and central nodes etc which might or might not be necessary in some situations.

But I guess for the sake of the game one could assume that you can achieve the same functionality with Link 16 as well. (And that all ground vehicles on your team have compatible radios, just like it’s assumed with IFF transponders)

Then there is the issue of HMD.
I.e. if JHMCS is capable of showing this information or not.
Though even if the HMD can’t show this information, obviously you could still show the information on the radar / tactical display and possibly on the HUD or TGP display (for ground units).

The sticking point in terms of balance isnt the IFF on radar though, that already exists ingame, its the fact that SADL as seen on the A-10C and now M2KD RMV are perfect IFF that DO NOT require radar. As such, the pilots with access to it always know if what they’re looking at is enemy or not without ever having to give their location away via RWR, which is the equivalent of playing sim with nametags on while nobody else has them.

Its an even bigger problem when you consider some REDFOR planes dont even have HMDs yet, only HMCS’, which would be unable to display this info at all. As interesting as i find this feature, and as much as I’d like to use it myself, it is in hindsight massively unbalanced and likely shouldn’t be in-game.

Since the dev is open again, I am curious if the F-15E with the -229 engines is overperforming in speed or not? Sources say mach 1.2 at sea level and mach 2.3 at alt iirc but in the dev server it is far faster, going mach 1.3 at sea level. However it does not make sense why the speed would only match the 15C when it has so much more thrust, are these irl speed stats more for airframe safety?

most likely - yes. like 800knots on F-16C

Saw this in a bug report, is this graph misleading?

Similar to F-14A and F-14B, the thrust profile may not be the same. The latter engines may have higher static thrust and not such a large increase at the top end.
