F-14B Needs Buffs

I don’t understand the F-14B being at 13.0. Other aircraft at 13.0, such as the F-15A, get IR missiles with IRCCM, while the F-14 B is stuck with AIM-9Ls. Along with the constant uptiers in this area, the F-14B doesn’t get a chance to shine with the AIM-54C against anything because it is constantly outclassed. This is also with the Aim-54C not getting the full upgrade in-game as it did irl from the Aim-54A. It only received the Electronics upgrade, but not the booster upgrade, so it’s just a heavier missile that struggles more with acceleration and speed, and still gets lost when tracking targets. This is also with it not receiving the smokeless motor it gets IRL, which makes it easier for people to see the missile and avoid it easily, as it is not good with maneuverability. This, with it being at 13.0, getting constantly uptiered, just puts the F-14B in a horrendous state. The way I see to fix this is two options (Both of which should be followed): 1. The max BR rating is moved up, and the F-14B stays in the same spot while other jets get moved up, 2. The F-14B receives AIM-9Ms, and the AIM-54C receives its full upgrades.

doesn’t it already have the mk60 motor?

that would be a nerf as it has less thrust

The AIM-9L used to have good flare resistance but now it behaves like a R-60M, this missile has no business at 13.0

You could probably do both of these and it would be fine. Move the best 13.0s up, but leave the middle of the pack ones (including an F-14B with aim-9Ms) at 13.0.

+1 for 9Ms.

I don’t believe it has the improved motor, or if it does, the values arent put in correctly

Tbh I don’t care about improving Aim-54C, but if it had 9M it should be fair to add them.
Most of my kills in sim were with sparrows, tomcat fox-3’s are quite easy to notch due to the bad radar

If they improved the 54C, there would be no need for the sparrows unless inside 7km.

I agree along with the fact that Sparrows suck
