Won’t get passed, you need to have some figures about it, you can’t just say “it was improved”.
In what? How much? How does it work?
From the source:
"Rare photo of F-14 with SU-200 pod
The SU-200 pod was designed by the Americans for use in the F-4 and F-5 but the Iranian engineers pioneered it to be carried by the F-14 in the late 1990’s. Hence the F-14 is a superiority fighter, the project was abandoned. Otherwise, all was going as planned!
Purpose: It’s a bomb carrier that saves space for more ordnance."
There are also these but idk if they were ever trialed on the F-14.
There’s also a source mentioning the test of 7000 pound bomb but no photos or indication of what bomb it could’ve been.
F-35 is gonna be added in the next 2-3 years.
Are they gonna add it without a radar or with a APG-63 because its own radar figures are classified?
No, they are gonna go with common sense and guesses.
I think at least giving this Tomcat all aspect look down capability would make sense …
That’s not how it works.
If you want to bug report, you need values at hand.
What values
They don’t even have the values for the original AWG-9 as the relevant documents are still classified.
It’s all based on guesses …
Once again, that it’s not how it works, devs make educated guesses but if you want to file a report you need to have something tangible and with values.
That’s how it works, you should read the rules and guidelines for bug reporting.
Theres at least some info about apg 81, maybe not accruate, but still exist
is there any information on this?
They cant just guess the radar and its values based on a single claim of modernization. You need at least the basic guidelines for these estimates.
Btw, another his report that was done like that already closed

Regarding this report, it’s not like the figures for AWG-9 tracking capabilities where taken from the manual.
The manual for AWG-9 to the best of my knowledge is till classified.
So you basically just guessed the figures for the AWG-9.
If you can guess the figures of the AWG-9, I’m sure you can guess the figures for the Iranian upgrade to it as well.
Just as you are gonna guess the figures for most of the aircraft that are going to be added from now on … Since most of them are still classified …
Plus two of my sources specifically mention “improved detection range and tracking parameters”:
https://www.mashreghnews.ir/news/391626/نصب-رادار-ملی-روی-F14-تام-کت-ها-بمب-افکن-می-شوند
این رادارهای ملی نشات گرفته از همان سیستم رادارهای اصلی هستند و از بعد رنج و مسافت کشفها و یا پارامترهایی که از هدفها میگیرند کیفیتی بهتر از رادارهای اصلی دارند.:
This national/domestic radar which is based on the original one, is improved in terms of detection range and target parameters compared to the original radar
For the first time in April 2019, the Deputy Coordinator of the Air Force of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the current commander of this force, Amir Brigadier General Aziz Nasirzadeh announced the use of upgraded radar on F-14 (Tomcat) fighter planes in the Air Force.
He listed the increase in the range of this radar as one of the improved radar features compared to the original F-14 radar.
increase in its range compared to the original radar and its range reaching several hundred kilometers, and improving the information received from the targets and the detection range better than the previous radar have been stated as part of the achievements of this project. With the help of these radars, small targets such as drones can be discovered with better quality.
The fact that it gets the exact same range as AWG-9 in the game when it’s contradicted by two high ranking Airforce officials shows that it wasn’t an “educated guess”
And surprisingly absolutely no one it was hit with the classic ‘not a bug’
Sadly, none of these sources tell us by how much any change should take place with. Also before any of these upgrades took place, AWG-9 itself is still entirely correct for it to have. This is the radar is was delivered with.
Would still be neat if it was called the national radar when you moused over it
Its not even clear that is the actual confirmed name of the radar, given these sources are being run through translators. It can just mean they have installed a national / domestic radar set. None of the sources directly confirm that is the clear technical name. So it will retain AWG-9 it was delivered with until any better source ever arise to confirm the details needed for any changes.
The R-27ER is one of the better modeled missiles in-game thanks to technical documentation from vympel provided by Moscow Aviation Institute. The performance in-game above 5km is actually LESS than the real world counterpart though, due to gaijins simplistic modeling.
The AWG-9 performance is not guessing, documentation is there for it. The Iranian upgrade likely did not improve performance, only reliability. There is no indication they made “improvements”.
I guess we need Tom Cooper who is specialist of Iranian F-14A in this forum thread.
It’s not like he’s gonna have access to classified information.
I know that but, at the least, I’m sure he probably has some meaningful information.
