Iran and USA were NEVER allies, an enemy plane in an enemy nation sounds unlogical.
F-14A but with better missiles like Fakour-90 and Sedjeel at 13.0
earlier F-15: it has very good thrust, maneuverability and insanely good radar, literally the best radar ever carried on an aircraft
also it has fictional missiles like R-27R1 that were never acquired and due to the plane being an american one, the radar shouldn’t be able to even lock that kind of missiles.
its the most unstoppable thing at that BR, and should not even be in the game.
Can’t remember the exact wording as there was a number of discussions how Iranians managed to adapt Eastern weapons on Western platforms, but I clearly remember it is not exactly impossible. There were some missiles like R-73(?) that were not operational not because they can’t be mounted but because the computer would just shut down when seeker is engaged. However, it is a different story for R-27Rs, as those were adapted for service on Iranian F-14s
Sedjeel’s seeker is one of the worst at that br, fakour can be easily notched or multipathed and doesn’t have the 60kg warhead of the aim54a that can splash multipathers, and after you shoot the f90s you are left with a plane that has a terrible rwr, awful missiles, terrible radar, and just 30 pops of countermeasures.
im pretty sure every single F-14 player just returns to airfield to keep bombing players with long-range missiles.
Fakour-90 is one of the most broken missiles at that BR and even if u don’t have that “60kg warhead”, u can still annihilate players that are too high (30/40m above sea lvl).
Sedjeel stills being a good missile with good thrust and maneuverability and u just need to keep the lock to make it work, literally R-27ER moment using the Su-27’s radar to kill an idiot at the other side of the map
At the time of the purchase, both nations had relations.
During the 1970s, the Imperial Iranian Air Force was looking into means of modernizing its aging fleet of interceptor aircraft. Specifically, the air force was looking for a modern fighter jet, capable of effectively countering the Soviet MiG-25. As part of a diplomatic mission, the U.S. government offered to share some of its latest military technology with Iran, which eventually led to the country adopting the advanced F-14 Tomcat into service. After placing an order for up to 80 aircraft including missiles and spare parts, Iran received its first Tomcats in January 1976. [Development] Persian Tomcat: F-14A IRIAF - News - War Thunder
As an F-14, the US tree is the most logical and only connected tree to the vehicle in game.
