Yeah in dcs the aim 54 has like a 60 degree loft, and cruises at like 25 km atitude for long range shots to conserve energy while on war thunder it just dies due to terrible loft and drag🥀

From the quote of the chief engineer of MiG-31, R-33 climbs to around 30km of altitude after the launch. I would expect R-37 and R-37M to share this behavior as well.

There’s a critical bug with the F-14D’s radar/IRST and it seems to be triggered by attempting to swap between ACM PD and ACM IRST. It bricks your entire radar for 20+ seconds and can’t be troubleshot. I’ve died to it several times now.

that is an issue with pretty much every plane that has an IRST
That’s messed up. Hopefully along ECM, IR missile rework, and all the other critical things we need ingame before 5th gens we can get an IRST rework too.
I know exactly what you mean, I’ve e experienced the same. weak target lock, contact blip ghosting, etc.
It’s just hard to report this kind of thing* as a bug not knowing whether or not these quirks are intended

Get a STT then unlock, that, or respawn from the airfield
Now they’ll both read as TRK MEM but toy have to obtain a lock from the radar, not the IRST
That usually fixes it

Anyone know if the Lau-132 could use the expanded chaff adapter (ECA) and both at the same time with aim54c+
Also I’m aware the website isn’t reliable for information witch is why I’m asking if anyone knows the true capabilities

Hm from my understanding f14D can use it just limited by Mach 1 or the missiles takes dmg by heat?
Btw I’m not saying the f14D should have aim54A I just saying I think gajin is using technical capabilities
