Won’t work apparently the iog needs the datalink
IOG is independent from the DL or radar lock or at least should be. How would that even work if inertial guidance needed DL to function? Not trying to be rude, just curious because that doesnt make much sense.

The f14 has the aim54/aim120 in the store’s management system and last time I checked all AMRAAMs user use datalink and the apg71 has the capability to fire fox3 missiles and guide multiple missiles
So for now let’s say it has 6-4 data link channels unless someone has proof it has more?
So aim7p should be added to the f14D

Hello @Gunjob could you look into this report - [DEV] F-14D Missing AIM-7P? I dont believe it was understood correctly and properly treated. This report is advocating for addition of AIM-7P to F-14D which due to IOG capability it has would not be functioning the same as AIM-7M in game. Datalink aside.

Nah I just forgot to reply to it plus I’m pretty sure the apg71 can fire the aim120A in tws
They wouldn’t have shown the f14 launching 4 missiles in the picture in tws mode not to mention it talks about that test firing as well
So at the end my point still stand F14D w/amraam is compatible as multiple official sources have said already and the f14D does have data link for the aim120A/aim7p

Even without a data link for the 120A, the F-14D can still fire it. Remember the AV-8B Plus in the game? It launches the 120A with no data link at all — the missile just relies on its own seeker to find the target, no need for the aircraft’s radar.

Not a leak, “just” a classified/restricted document. Even then, that will get one in trouble regardless.
