but tbh if you want to dogfight in any wing sweep aircraft you should have manual wing sweep controlls

In my experience dueling (at least in sim) back when I dueled, I found that su-27 beats out f-14b fairly easily, the fact that aoa+button and the fact that su27 has much better 1 circle really makes it possible to hit shots early into the fight. Only person I had trouble with in the 27 vs 14b matchup was butters because he played that thing a hell of a lot. A better matchup is mig 29 vs f14 but in my experience mig 29 usually wins because of fuel burn, and that matchup is what made me realize how dog water the 29 fm is

then you merge wrong if you enable the su-27 to go into a 1c early into the fight
the dogfight starts at the merge if not before that
yeah from when i dueled in sin’s server, really only people that’s above green gave me a competitive in the 27 and 14 matchup. I still personally think su-27 should win the 27 and 14 matchup, even if it was say t rex/butters in the 14 (2 most skilled 14 players ik) vs sin in the 27, i would say 27 wins that. just has too much of an advantage early on if you got good gunnery.
idk if mid is the right word to describe f14b. it got no irccm missiles, no good fox1s, and it got a gimmick fox 3. its ass at 13.0

i definetly agree, a fox 2’s purpose isnt to reach long ranges after all, and aim9x got plenty of range. whilst yes the iris t is much better on practice, the only practical value is the seld defence usage

My entire point is that it has better FM than other things at the BR and active radar missiles, giving it IRCCM is not necessary because it performs as well as it needs to at the BR currently. If people want it buffed they can feel free to go suffer in it. Not flying it at all will doom it to be stuck in place.
So if they want to go die a bunch in it to sway the devs opinion they can be my guest.

gaijin thinks its fox-3 is enough for it if it which is why it isnt buffed you can still do good in it ofcourse but the plane is no where near as good as other 13.0 options and F14B may have good FM but not better than F15A at same BR which also gets 9M and a better radar for its aim-7Ms its mid at 13.0 theres a few mid 13.0s but guess what they still perform decent so they dont get buffed not to mention the SU27/33 all get IRCCCM R73 and R27ER and it carries a lot of them also your good FM compared to other planes its a lot hotter meaning almost any R73 launch is a massive pain to beat in a dog fight

F14 also probably wont be able to flare the R73 in a dogfight from my experince just cause how hot it is
That has nothing to do with its flight performance
The only reason the F-14B and other 13.0s are allowed to suffer is because of the 500% increase in premiums added to BRs around that area.
The 2 F/A-18C Earlies, The Viggen DI21, the MiG-21 Bizon, MiG-29 Sniper, F-2A ADTW
All of these planes are bought by absolutely trash players who of course are going to be professional 30x grand champion phoenix feeders. They manipulate the stats heavily.

Yeah the game would be better without bottom feeders in top tier premiums, doesn’t change the fact that the statistics for the game show the F-14B performs at the same level as it’s peers as I’ve been saying.
If the devs played their own game they’d be able to see these things and make better balancing decisions.
Its rather ironic too that the J-8F got better IRAAMs when its one of the best preforming 13.0s as well, with a 52% WR, compared to the F-14B having a 48% WR, its the lowest of the 13.0s to boot. The viggens are the highest preforming at 56% WRs followed closely by the Mirage 4000 at 55%.
If you are using literally any third party site to determine this your stats are probably wayyyy off.
