Delta with AMRAAMs never happen because F-14 test was merely a separation test without guidance from APG-71 or AWG-9.
Regarding the AWG-9, it is composed of analog components, making AMRAAM guidance literally impossible.
We should advocate for the implementation of the AIM-54C+ instead of the AMRAAM.

im praying your right im gonna blow a fuse if its added as a premium cause we have 2 techtrees already
IMO It really depends by premium F-14 variants.
F-14A with 1998 - 2004 configuration would be good for premium because they are just F-14B with TF-30 and no JDAMs.

i hope so i really would hate if the only american tech tree plane that can use AIM-7P at a resonable br is locked behind a paywall
is there a suggestion for that ?
It was tested with apg71
If the f14D does come the aim54c eccm will come with it so theirs no point in advocating for it it would be point less it’s would be better advocating for it to come with 6-8 araams with aim9m’s plus the aim54c+ would be like the the aim54c and aim54A barely a difference especially because of its br it would be around 13.3-13.7

Aim7p vs r27er in game the r27er is still better bc r27er has better performance and most jets with the er has hmd not to mention the f14 rcs doesn’t help and the bol pods barely do anything effective for it so it would still loses most jousting fights not to mention the aim54c is a Mch 5 missile but it rarely reaches those speeds because it needs specific conditions for it to reach those speeds so it’ll still be hovering at Mach 3-4.3
To my knowledge, the only model that conducted launch tests was the A model 65-GR belonging to PMTC with early block of APG-71 but, problem is they NEVER used radar for launching AIM-120s.
This was merely a separation test, and no AIM-120-related software was installed whatsoever.
Also, it was still A model and We don’t know how VDI/HSD, HUD works when AIM-120s has been selected. IIRC, during testing, they actually had to make a launch rail adapter for the F-14 to carry the AMRAAM- a production F-14 couldn’t even carry the AIM-120 as dead weight, let alone fire it.
It depends how they will model it.

Then why does the Aim-120 have a specific profile already in the radar for it? Like I could understand if the launch and ignition test was all we had primarily, but the FM from 2004 clearly states the AMRAAM is an integral part of the radar.
And they don’t have a choice on implementing the Aim-54C+ ECCM/Sealed. It’s the only Aim-54 fully compatible with the F-14D, due to the lack of coolant.
All the pictures I have use the normal sparrow mounts, which is expected considering the AMRAAM was required to fit in sparrow mounts for ease of compatibility. This is how the F-15A/C and F-16A used AMRAAMs.

They will fix them when they’ll bring MiG 31 and R33/37 .
For now they don’t want 14s to have huge advantages over their adversaries, because it’s not an equivalent plane with it in a reasonable BR range.
in fact with the current MM there is no place of proper 14s. Will either be too good or too bad.
Keyword is PMTC.
Their primary task, much like China Lake, was to test unapproved weapons and systems. Most of the aircraft they possessed were simply too old from mass build model or, like the F-14A(IR) that was never delivered to Iran, were aircraft that could not be used for operational duties for different system.
You mean -1A manuals of D model?
I don’t even know how did you get that.
Nope, the publicly available one. For the Mission Control System: Go to Figure 2-42 that goes over the “STORES MANAGEMENT SUBSYSTEM” and 1553 bus capability. There it overviews how the “AIM- 7, 9, 120 LAUNCHERS AND WEAPONS” are directly connected to the ARMAMENT BUS of the radar.
The parts in caps are direct quotes.
Yes, but that testing wouldn’t be included in the flight manual.
personally id prefer the F14D not to have aim120s so it it isnt raised in br it be a amazing 13.0 unlike F14B we would finally have techtree plane that has DL missiles at reasonable br and AIM-9M and isnt premium

It’d be an even better 13.3 with AMRAAMs. And there’s no reason to add to the 13.0 powercreep by having something arguably better than the Su-33 at the same BR, when the Su-33 is already one of the best 13.0s.
And tbh, Sparrows just aren’t fun to use. Even the 7P just completely goes stupid for no reason.

well with just the AIM-7P and AIM-9M it be 13.3 any ways ideally id like to see all them get moved to 13.3 and current 13.3s get moved up and so on
Personally I think f14D should get aim120A and aim9m-8 its going to be 13.3 -13.7 where most planes have fox 3 and fox 2 Irccm so I’m 1+ for it should get them

youd be facing rafales being dead meat
Bruh you say that like they ain’t adding mig29n/su30’s and like I said other fox3 plus before the br compression it was fighting the rafales so I’m already use to dealing with them or anything similar like j11a,su30mk2,JAS39EBS HU C, Baz Meshupar, jf17,and j10 etc… not to mention most of those planes have better radar capabilities with some even having hmd
Plus the fact is the f14D is probably gonna be 13.7 because of the radar being as good as the f15E apg70
