Well the F-14 can pull just over 90 degrees of AoA without doing any of that seesaw stuff to get it there. The F-15 and Gripen cannot (infact getting to 90 is a struggle for them). So speaking with the most benefit, the F-14 should have it and maybe the Gripen and F-15 shouldn’t…
Sure you could say it benefits from it, but it’s also not a modern or fly-by-wire aircraft like you said the feature was for.
The Harrier Jump jet IRL can easily turn inside of the F-14 yet its terrible in game its limited to 16 degrees AOA vs the 40 it can pull IRL before even reaching buffet but that wont be changed.
I have answered you on this matter several times. Sadly the answer is not going to change just by changing the question a little:
Currently there are several aircraft (F-14, Tornado F.3 and some others) that have this feature IRL but do not currently in game. As unlike the other aircraft that already have it, it would lead to a far more unstable flight model with very little beneficial gain to gameplay.
Not giving it the feature while others get it feels less like balance and more like selective restriction. All we’re asking for is consistent treatment and a bit of respect for what the jet could actually do.
I would like you explain how the F-14 becomes unstable to the point it’s not viable to be added compared to any other plane that already has it. Because if gameplay is the reason, the F-14 actually benefits more than some, given its high AoA capabilities. I haven’t experience this lack of stability at all compared to other planes at similar flight regimes while using the button.
And if the concern is people getting killed because they used the button, having full real controls lock you into a bad camera angle and having the delay in maneuvering from swapping through all the different control profiles gets me killed a lot more than being able to clearly pull AoA with mouse aim.
Aim-54C+ launched from a supersonic platform going Mach 5 pulling 25G from 2x outside the AMRAAM’s range that doesn’t care about countermeasures or jamming says what?
Because the Phoenix goes faster… But the C-5 should be on par with it. Faster means less time to react and more chance it’s in PD and doesn’t care about CMs anyway. Also right now the Aim-54 has the lowest notch gate of any ARH missile, it’s just that it lacks Anti CM and an all aspect seeker.
