F-111C & F: When Pigs Fly!

Can we maybe get this thing at 11.3 in ASB please?
Can we get outer pylon jettison finally for all the Varks, since it is historically accurate?
Also cool Daft Punk music in the video.

Hitting 1.10 with 3 bases of bombs is wild.

Fastest jet in the game until Mig-31 or YF-12, and fastest jet bomber in the game period.

@Necronomica
AIM-9M isn’t the only AAM F-111F used, thus not having it is not non-historical.
Having none of its AAMs would be non-historical.

Historically correct isn’t exclusive to adding ammunition it didn’t use, its also removing ammunition it did use. “Historically correct” is an absolute and changing anything makes it by definition inherently non-historical.

Also; the Australian version (the one coming to the game) only carried aim-9m if the information i’ve seen is correct, it might not be IDK (can’t seem to find it again), but still.

F-111C manual lists 9Ls as well.
Begging for 12.7+ F-111C/F is not something I nor others want.
Nor is begging for restricting the ability to select loadouts in-match [BRs based on selected loadout].

Shouldn’t fastest jet be f15?

F-15C was the fastest, and it’s going to 2nd fastest with this update.
F-15C also isn’t the fastest bomber on live as that goes to Mirage 2000DR1, 2nd fastest tho.

I googled and apparently f15 top speed is 1650 mph but f111f was 1452

again:

And being capable of carrying something doesn’t mean it ever did in service (like the JAS39 and R-darters discussion).

not part of the discussion, its an effect of it but not inherently a part of the discussion.
I asked if you didn’t want historical loadouts.

USAF museum states f15c top speed as 1875mph

Except we never used them. It’s not historical. Raaf went from aim9 B to the M and then the X, never used the L.

It’s basically the reverse of the F-4F & AIM-9J scenario.

It would be like 12.3 then pretty much

You worked for General Dynamics? I doubt that.
We’re not LARPing as militaries, so bringing up their decision is 100% irrelevant.

The Australian version. not all of the planes in existence.

Yet you just stated 10 minutes ago:

So now you are contradicting yourself.

A 12.7 F-111C doesn’t sound fun.
Like putting AIM-9Lis on an F-4F so it can be 12.7… why…

Also manufacturers aren’t militaries, thanks for proving I’m consistent.

Again, not part of my question.
Do you or do you not want historically correct loadouts for vehicles in the game?
Simple question, yes or no.

manufacturers make them to the specifications made by the militaries.
Additionally, for historical correctness its absolutely 100% relevant to bring up those decisions.

There are official pilot reports of the f111 reaching 3.2 Mach. It’s only my word for it but when I was a cadet in the late 90s the pigs were often talked about as going Mach 3.2 up the QLD coast to use fuel.

A patently it could exceed Mach 2.4 but heat was the issue and they had an automated timer that triggered after exceeding set surface temp.

Damn, I liked the f111 but didn’t know it was packing that speed.

Although the 3.2 claims could be due to instruments starting to give wrong reading

We don’t have any plans for this.

The M1A1 AIM is just an American Abrams operated by Australia. It has no real connection to the British tree.

The F-111C is a domestic version specific to Australia and given there was a demand for the British to receive an Aardvark (with the K sadly not being possible) due to their direct involvement in the program, the C was a logical fit to satisfy that whilst taking nothing away from the US tree as they receive the F variant at the same time.

Yeah, of course

That’s how it’s gonna be then

Looking forward to the hordes of Soviet tanks that the British TT is gonna receive through India, because no other Commonwealth nation is allowed to supply those announced tanks.
