Extremely long loading times + more issues since Fire Birds update

Ever since the Fire Birds update, occasionally I’ve been experiencing HUGE loading times, only at the end of a Match loading back into the Hangar. To the point it is way quicker to just close the game with task manger (Alt+F4 or right clicking close in Task Bar won’t close it)
It doesn’t happen all the time, but I’d say about 2/3 times.

Have also noticed a lot of other issues like countermeasures not always deploying when using series, random packet loss when before Firebirds I NEVER had an issue, frame rate drop/stuttering when going into tank sights on certain maps, skins not loading, etc

Never in my 12 years of playing have I seen the game so broken, and this mixed with the map issues I’ve brought up in the past is extremely demotivating to see what was once a good game going down the toilet.

I have linked a video showing the skins not loading. At first you can tell the skins for the Missiles haven’t loaded, then the 2S6 spawns in without a skin at all.

And here’s a video of the long loading screen. As you can see, none of the buttons (messages, friends list, stat card) work which leads me to believe it freezes.

Also have been experiencing the same issue with longer than normal loading screens back to the hanger. I am also in agreement with the frequency being about 2/3rds of all battles played.
Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X

Does the bug still persist for you?
I’ll try reinstalling the game, but if it still doesn’t help I’ll make a bug report

Me too, I’m getting more issues now since one of their minor updates. Game will randomly freeze for about 5 seconds.

It almost only happens to me in tank battles, is it also the case for you?

With long load times, ALWAYS verify game files, but also be sure to clear out the cache folder in that game folder.

It’s a common cause.

It’s not “long load times” but freezes, I cleared the cache folder + veryfied the game files and it changed nothing

It’s still a factor to actually check. There’s so many things to actually check and go through that lodging reports without doing anything is actually reckless and timewasting.

I know what you mean but “reckless and timewasting” is a stretch. It’s not the players job to fix the game. It is however, Gaijin support staffs job.

Thing is you definitely should be doing the bare minimum being to attempt to see what’s doing it rather than just blaming the game without checking your config.

Everything was fine before the update lol

Not everyone just knows how to do this. Believe it or not but a lot of people just go to work, come home and launch the game with no more knowledge than that.

Exactly, and it seems like a relatively wide spread issue.

The 2 of you here doesn’t say it’s widespread, the fact that it’s been reported a lot suggests it’s pretty common, but it quite easily doesn’t relate to this patch, and merely coincidentally the authentication from Steam could be failing, or restricted ‘where-ever’ and you may just be having that shared situation.

It’s a pretty common suggestion to fix anything… Especially if you asked somewhere, or had any suggestion to fix put forth to you.

It’s more than just the 2 of us. Regardless if you’ve got nothing positive to actually add, don’t add anything. Cheers.
