I’ve been playing ground recently and every time I alt-tab, spawn in, or anything happens, my game has extreme frame stutter, like down to 10 or so FPS and major screen tearing.
I run a rig with a GeForce 1660 Super, 5700 X, and an ultrawide monitor 21:9 aspect ratio.
Anyone having similar issues or a fix? (I normally run at 80-140 FPS for ground, close to 200 for air.)
I used to have some major problems with framedrops just happening for no reason, but in my case it was due to windows pagefiling on a HDD drive which happened to be dying (it was a pretty old drive). So whenever there was high RAM usage, the game would drop frames as it would use this slow dying HDD to store memory. So I guess, check your drives maybe or move the pagefiling to a faster drive. You can also mitigate it by just having more RAM or by closing other applications which may use up a lot of RAM, but I would check your storage health first.
Otherwise maybe outdated gpu,cpu drivers/bios, idk.
