This does need to happen ASAP because there are a good few maps where multi-vehicle spaa is forced to sit in the open spawn.
And usually, with these maps, extending the area behind the spawn solves the issue.
I have SPAA every round.
Your stats say otherwise.
I just tend to not use it often. To be clear I mostly use the random SPAA because I don’t have SPAA higher than ww2.
You’ve never played at the top tier to have such a weak argument.
Good idea, but you have to take into account gun-less vs. gun-armed SPAAs. After all, the ones without guns would just become free food for those that have them if they share the same locations.
Right, so CAS should always know where the SPAA is since the spawn is marked on the map, right? Or are we supposed to just stay trapped near the spawn taking hits to our radar until CAS comes to finish us off? For modern SPAAs, the spawn point only serves to say: ‘Hey, I’m here, come destroy my radar.’ Great realism on your part, wanting SPAAs to stay on the front line lol.
Nothing screams realism like 2020s SPAA facing 1970s-80s SPAA. Same technological gap as Sherman to Abrams, by the way.
If SPAA wasn’t completely OP, then I could understand giving it more cover from the ground, but as it stands right now, SPAA is not in any way, shape, or form due for buffs.
Op? SPAA can be 100% neutralized by only One LDIRCM Heli.
Then just nerf the Mi-28. You don’t need to blanket buff all SPAA, or blanket nerf all CAS just cause one singular Russian chopper is OP.
Is the Mi28NM the only one with LDIRCM?
And providing a location where the SPAA isn’t constantly being hit by radar doesn’t mean buff; only in your logic would a modern SPAA be on the front lines of a war.
Artillery on the frontlines is also super realistic. what’s your point?
We’re not talking about artillery here, but it still makes no sense. At least artillery has some anti-tank capability and can take cover, unlike those 10-meter-tall SPAAs.
Both participate in the battle. Both are threatenned by tanks IRL.
Artillery can hit back; it can’t even be compared.
Oh, I thought the argument you were making was
In real-life, SPAA are threatened by enemy ground vehicles, especially when the frontlines get pushed by, just like in Warthunder.
Even from a purely gameplay perspective with no regard for realism, SPAA should still be threatened by tanks.
I don’t know what kind of war you are watching where SPAA is directly threatened by ground vehicles.
If you want to regard realism so much -
We’ve evidence that in a conflict of similar peers conflict, SPAA is able to neutralize Planes and Helicopters threat to ground vehicles, except in special circumstances.
Literally every war in the past century. If the frontlines get pushed towards you, you needa retreat or get eaten by advancing enemies. Same as in Warthunder, if your team sucks and enemies make it to your spawn, you’re gonna die.
What a messed up way to think about things, lol.
If you, as an anti-air player, can’t do anything to help your team because of the design of the map, what’s the point of Anti-air vehicles?
If your team can’t keep enemies out of spawn then you’ve already lost. That’s just how team games work.
It’s better that SPAA be easy for tanks to destroy, than it be impossible for tanks to destroy.
