Why is it that only Russian ERA alters the trajectory of the round going through it?
French ERA doesn’t do it. US ERA doesn’t do it.
What’s good for the goose is good for the gander.
Edit, i was wrong.
To my knowledge; French and US vehicles doesn’t have ERA.
Huh, well, i just learnt something new :) thx, will edit my first replay.
I thought they only had NERA versions.
The curious thing is that the Azur ERA has a protection of 20mm against KE and 450 against CE in the game, when for example, an older ERA such as the Brenus armor (in real life, not in this fantasy world that is War Thunder) has a protection of 100mm against KE and 700 against CE.In the game, the ERA Brenus has 5mm protection against KE and 400mm against CE,being a marginal improvement if we consider that they are years apart.

Fun fact, ukranian ERA does not alter the trajectory as much as russian. Only up to around 22 degrees of AoA. More than that and its useless while russian ERA is effective at even 45 and above.
The AZUR ERA is entirely fake, its supposed to be a composite sideskirt IRL. Don’t know how Gaijin messed this up.
How dare you forget about the M60’s! Sad m60 noises
the answer to that is Gaijin chose that Non-Russian ERA doesn’t behave this way in their opinion
The answer to this is :
“Russian bias doesn’t exist”
NATO ERAs is a joke, they don’t stop anything compared to russians’.
Somehow.
They gave the SEPv2 a major ARAT2 buff in a dev server a while back, and immediately reverted the changes that would’ve given the Abrams a side armor increase.
Don’t forget that the Composites skirts are modeled wrong
M1 Abrams (All Variants) Incorrect Special Side Armor
Yeah agreed, and they gave the newest one a worse set even a few updates ago when removing the ARAT2, with the “discussions” of a model update. Even if that side skirt fix only stops the first few rounds of a BMP/Bmpt/auto cannon fire it would be worth it to fire back. If this change was implemented, it would almost certainly force a model update
