I can think of one ex-ussr nation that has no business ever being added to the USSR tree. Me saying this is enough for you to figure it out.
Pre 2022 ukraine for USSR, and Belarus.
T72BM2 my beloved belarusian T72 i want you so much
Ukraine, Belarus, Azerbaijan and Armenia as USSR subtrees. I want to play the Iveco Daily with AD-08 and the DANA
It’s case by case by nation for me, as long as the nation stays in one tree and isn’t split up like Canada.
As IIRC, there are a few that are still close to Russia, but at the same time, a bunch of them have joined NATO or otherwise moved closer to the West.
So as long as they are added in a way they can use their stuff in a line-up together, rather than being asked to pay $200 for the nation’s stuff and can’t even use them together.
having all these planes (which are basically NATOs counter to MiGs and Sukhoi’s) would make the game very unbalanced especially with all the OP planes being cultivated into the Russian tech tree anyway. Plus all new players would flock to USSR because of the insane variety which would have a counter for almost everything.
Hence why I said that they shouldn’t go to the USSR tree.
Exactly! Not create trees, add several unique techs to existing trees. Thats the way.
But the Sukhois for Japan and China?
Wdym?
I ment the addition of USSR machinery to NATO country tech trees that exists - the MiGs and Sukhois in Germany, Japan, Italy, ect
Germany already has most of the Soviet equipment they could get.
Japan never bought stuff from the USSR, but we could see things like a Su-27SKM from the Malaysian subtree
Same for Italy, Italy never brought Soviet equipment but has just about everything it could get from the Hungarian subtree.
Other than that, This I was talking about Ex-USSR nations, Not Non-USSR nations.
Fair point, but then again it makes it feel unfair: EX ussr countries wield USSR equipment outside of USSR tree by being a subtree for some nation, but having NATO side equipment on USSR tree as subtree is seen by some evilness.
Belarus, Ukraine and Azerbaijan will make excellent sub trees to the Soviet technology tree as some point.
Others like Georgia and Kazakhstan will make for event vehicles and what not.
While all current trees have some pretty cool/needed stuff to add now, I still think there is a place for new trees. I honestly think 3 subs for a single tree is already a bit much (especially for the UK and France).
My main concern is that if sub nations keep being put onto the main 10, more of said sub nations unique vehicles become premiums or worse, events like the Romanian and Indian vehicles and what’s probably gonna happen to a large chunk of Swiss ground.
Surely there’s enough USSR vehicles for those? If they were added to the USSR tree at least don’t let them be just event filler.
They offer some vehicles with unique traits so I suppose they can fit in the research tree anyway. Example, the Georgian Su-25KM.
Well depending on what and how, i can see some trees being added. But that usually means to start from the rank 4 to 6, so it as easilly can be a subtree. Basically all other solutions would require severe copy-paste being added, which is in fact bad for the game.
Not that its “most” of the vehicles but i get your point. Yes, there are examples of that

Does anyone know of any vehicles I’ve missed for these nations? I have a feeling I probably missed some for central Asia.
