If you’re talking sim, I think the mirage can be 11.0 with p4, as the bis and first 23m gets 6 all aspect r60s at that br while also having better flight models (don’t forget the 23m getting those utterly nasty r23ts as well which are literally an upgrade in every way over the p4 other than super close range maneuverability) and i also think the p4 is a worse missile than the r60m ( at least for sim). I think even if it got aim 9 p3 it can stay at 10.3, due to the first American crusader being a better plane WITH better missiles and at a lower br of 10.0 (seriously how the hell is the f8u2 at 10.0 still in sim, American mains fr).
I mean, it’s expected to better than the 3e, as it’s literally the same plane from what I understand but with canards and new missiles. But, the 3c being so light is what makes it better than both, I wonder why the 3e is so much heavier than the c for just adding counter measures.
Ngl I would expect them to do better in sim than rb because people in sim are a lot more clueless, although ig it’s still wore than the crusader’s aim 9c which is a lot more maneuverable (at least becomes more maneuverable much much sooner)
Are the cms single or double pop
Bit off tangent, but is this the thread for general mirage 3s discussion? I don’t see one other than the one in the suggestion
IIIE. The TARAN equipment was too large to fit into the shorter IIIC…
Still need to experiment a bit, but I was most successful in similar attack parameters as for the Sidewinders distance-wise (but all-aspect).
Flz Lwf LL 63/80, the same that the Hunter Mk.58 has at 9.7 and Swiss F-5E at 11.3. Not sure if it has reduced smoke motor…
Not just countermeasures: The fuselage is 30cm longer to fit more (larger and heavier) avionics in…
Need to check, but should be single.
the P-3 is smokeless, but that aspect is not modeled in game right now.
In game it is just a regular 9P. The Hunter has the 63/80, which is the P-3.
Yes, this is the post for the Swiss Mirage IIIS. It was ported over from the dev-server section.
I mainly made it to collect all the bug reports of the Mirage on the dev-server, but general discussion is also happening. At the moment it is somewhat split with here being the issues and the sugegstion being more of a general discussion.
Once the suggestion post is closed though, I will rename the post to general discussion or something like that.

Theoretically, the two could be merged, kind of…
And a new report, please support: Mirage IIIS C.70 wrong sight graphics // Gaijin.net // Issues
What’s Noras
Nord AS.30 air to ground missile.
The Swiss Air Force had its own lingo and “almost secret” code language, the “Bambini Code”, also including names of aircraft and weapons:
NORAS: Nord AS.30
FALCO: AIM-26 Falcon
SIWA: AIM-9 Sidewinder
MIRO: Mirage IIIS (fighter)
AMIR: Mirage IIIRS (reconnaissance)
…
Aha that makes sense, for stuff like falco I just thought you were just mistyping them, didn’t know those were actual names, cool bit of trivia to learn
I will gladly take the Mirage IIIs at 10.7 or 11.0 for these changes to be made.
its also missing an ejection seat.
I know its not the correct thread but i cant seem to find any others on it or that are close enough. Do any of you know whats going on with the mirage 3 c and e getting thier radars corrected? Especially the mirage 3e as it seems to be a pretty big upgrade over the c.
From the looks of it the bug report (from 3 years ago) was recently (5 months ago) marked as not a bug… Anyone here know anything more?
I don’t know anything more.
From what I could gather from the bug report you mentioned, the Mirage IIIE has the Cyrano II B (Drac 37B) as a radar and not the Cyrano Ibis.
Differences between these two being:
- Anti Jammer mode (possibility to lock into jammer signal )
- Spiral mode (ACM mode)
- Ground mode - Contour map mode - Anti collision mode - Groud mapping mode
But since the report was marked as not a bug, I don’t think anything will be done.
You could always PM a tech-moderator and ask for details. (I’d recommend Gunjob or WaretaGarasu)
You could also try asking the French Community if they have some more info.
New report submitted: Mirage IIIS C.70 wrong radar ranges and search modes // Gaijin.net // Issues
(I’d especially hope they add 10km as lowest radar distance, that would come in handy in knive-fights. 400km on the other hand is not needed in WT…)
Monopulse or sequential lobing? Can you share any of your sourcing? I’m not here to argue over this, I’m actually just doing research for the sake of it on Hughes FCRs. 101B/102/106 systems used sequential lobing and an antenna that looks almost identical.

@Schindibee do you have more reports in the pipeline?
Finally got around to grind Mirage IIIS and i must say Im surprised how good it is.
I know it would probably mean higher BR, but if it ever got better missiles (9J equivalent would suffice), this would probably become my new most favorite 10.3 plane.
