Everything wrong with the Mirage IIIS (and Discussion)

See here for more info on Bambini Code: Bambini-Code - Wikipedia

I will gladly take the Mirage IIIs at 10.7 or 11.0 for these changes to be made.

its also missing an ejection seat.

thanks, report done:
Mirage IIIS C.70 missing ejector seat - no label

I know its not the correct thread but i cant seem to find any others on it or that are close enough. Do any of you know whats going on with the mirage 3 c and e getting thier radars corrected? Especially the mirage 3e as it seems to be a pretty big upgrade over the c.

From the looks of it the bug report (from 3 years ago) was recently (5 months ago) marked as not a bug… Anyone here know anything more?

I don’t know anything more.

From what I could gather from the bug report you mentioned, the Mirage IIIE has the Cyrano II B (Drac 37B) as a radar and not the Cyrano Ibis.
Differences between these two being:

  • Anti Jammer mode (possibility to lock into jammer signal )
  • Spiral mode (ACM mode)
  • Ground mode - Contour map mode - Anti collision mode - Groud mapping mode

But since the report was marked as not a bug, I don’t think anything will be done.
You could always PM a tech-moderator and ask for details. (I’d recommend Gunjob or WaretaGarasu)

You could also try asking the French Community if they have some more info.

New report submitted: Mirage IIIS C.70 wrong radar ranges and search modes // Gaijin.net // Issues

(I’d especially hope they add 10km as lowest radar distance, that would come in handy in knive-fights. 400km on the other hand is not needed in WT…)

Monopulse or sequential lobing? Can you share any of your sourcing? I’m not here to argue over this, I’m actually just doing research for the sake of it on Hughes FCRs. 101B/102/106 systems used sequential lobing and an antenna that looks almost identical.

Finally got around to grind Mirage IIIS and i must say Im surprised how good it is.

I know it would probably mean higher BR, but if it ever got better missiles (9J equivalent would suffice), this would probably become my new most favorite 10.3 plane.

Should get its 9p and moved to 10.7. Even without it its already better than a mirage 3e due to having usable radar missiles lol.

wouldnt mind that actually.

ye, falcos are what made me grind IIIS, and boi i am glad that they did not dissapoint me so far.

Lucky you, I am still grinding on my one.

Luckily, right as the update dropped, my premium time ran out…

Im hoping and praying for the swedish variant with a prox fuse to come to the j35xs, would make it a potent jet at a higher br which would also lessen the compression it causes. Another cool jet that could get them was a variant of the f89, the d to be specific. It had the prox rockets but with the ability to carry SARH and IR versions of the aim 4 falcon, up to 6 of them.

Take in mind they have massive guidance delay of 2 seconds so they have quite large minimum range and at the same time they have rather low max range; but players dont expect a SARH with peak pull of 28Gs at this BR

Would have to check with the misile datasheet but im sure Falcos also have proxy fuze, unless you mean something else

the AIM 4 falcon is a direct hit missile, the swedish put in a prox fuse (and maybe a better rocket in it).

Trust me, i believe you, but Falcos also have proxy fuze, so the swedish ones wouldnt be probably different

The Falcon in Swiss use was the AIM-26B variant, the same variant the Swedes used (named Rb27).

I see, ty. makes it a whole lot easier to add to the j35xs then. shame we dont have a normal aim 4 flacon in game, would be nice to see on some of the earlier jets like the f4d.
