dont lost in mind that radar works horizontal and Vertical too, may be aircraft its too low or high for radar and there its where you dont see.
My nose is pointed directly at them.

su30mkk have good radar but simply cant detect past 50km. and you need to guide verticaly the radar
Are you able to share a clip of this, ideally done live using AMD ReLive or Nvidia ShadowPlay (if on PC), as live replay is usually more informative, but failing that can you link a replay from Gaijin Entertainment - Single Sign On
For a “very good radar” it can’t track for crap. My F-4C tracks people better than this.

Very sure. I’ve yet to have a single game where my radar actually tracks someone and doesn’t just show them once and then immediately lose track.
track very well for me, unless your enemy is notching hard. your not suppose to have problem.

Dont take this the wrong way, but this does sound more like user error than any form of bug. Video evidence would really be required to see what is going on for certain
ok thats why, tws is better for close range 50km and less. while tws hdn is better for 50-75km.
So you just proved my point, I’m using TWS HDN right off of spawn meaning it’s going to be over 32 miles or wtv 50 km is. It’s not user error. TWS I don’t get anyone on radar until close to 20 miles and by then I’ve already got 3 people launching at me.
I’m lvl 82 IK how radar works. And no other TWS radar has had this problem.
ok so i am detecting and launching while provinding Data link at 40km and so, that gotta be your problem man its a easy fix got try it then comeback.
ok so you clearly don’t understand that just because YOU aren’t having a problem doesn’t mean it’s not a problem.
TWS even at well under that range showing no one but TWS HDN is.
As I have said multiple times now. My radar literally does not pick up people until they are practically already on me or have already launched on me. Especially TWS.

I came here as I have the same feeling. I rarely see any targets on radar like it is not picking anything. I see targets at RWR, getting missile fired at me but I cannot find a target that directly attacked me. No matter if I switch to TWS, PD… like wth?
Also there seem to be some issue. I have stable ping and 0% PL and no visual contact either but then all of a sudden a jet appears with 10-12km after he shot missiles at me. But I still could not see him on radar.
I have this issue with Jas-39C, Rafale, Swiss F-18C Late …
Thank god i’m not the only one. I’m having this issue with the Swiss F-18 and the F-2 ADTW, I only see targets on my radar when I put it on max range (~140km) and when they drop below 70 km they all disapear, changing the the radar mode or reseting the gimbal makes them apear again but only for a spli second.
I was playing ASB last night and I had a F-16 spotted with my targeting pod but my radar would’t show the F* thing.
