the game keeps crashing when I got to “return to hangar”. This has happened no matter whether I do any of the following:
change graphics settings
reinstall the game
update my graphics drivers
change compatibility settings.
There’s always an error that pops up saying that something went wrong with my ntld.dll file’s interaction with the game. At this point I’m on the verge of giving up on the title even though I’ve got more than 2,000 hours and around 70 bucks into it.
Please, let me know what information about my error I need to provide in order to get assistance, and I’ll be happy to provide it. I have no idea why this just randomly started happening.
I found some old issues a year ago in which they responded quickly, I can’t comment on the time-frame as they could be currently busy with issues relating to the update or otherwise.
Hi, Whilst you wait for a response (It’s the weekend so most likely will be next week)
Can you double check to see if you have anything custom or any mods installed? The reason why is one user had the same similar error problem in march; Also try using try use dx11 until you get a reponse if you’re not using that already, That ‘may’ solve it.
I’ve tried looking around again and could not find the error codes you provided so it must be a new one, Apologies as it must be frustrating.
will do. no mods. I did find that it crashes slightly less when I’m using the “aces-min-cpu.exe” executable in the WT /win64 folder. Make of that what you will.
another odd thing to note in case anyone here happens to read this who knows a fix: I am seeing that sometimes after a very long wait, AFTER the error appears, the game will actually go to hangar. sometimes it even lets me play another round, even with the exception generated.
I’ve taken a look at the .dmp files in windbg as well and it seems to implicate something is going on between War Thunder and my Windows 10 “Software Protection” service; it seems to restart every time I have a crash, and my .dmp files are claiming that the hash values on several key components could not be validated:
at this point I have completely torn out and replaced my entire graphics stack. I have completely uninstalled, and then reinstalled (using Steam) the Full War Thunder client. I have tested low and high graphics settings, switched the client over to Vulkan, DX12, and DX11, and tried running this software with as few other programs running on my machine as possible. I have updated windows 10, run the test in multiple different settings scenarios in-client, and provided all this information to the support team.
I am still not seeing any activity. What can a paying customer do to get some respect for their loyalty and hard work on what seems to be clearly a Gaijin issue?
