well you clearly know more then me so ill default to what you are saying. I have never done any actual testing, but i will say at least for planes I am exclusively AB, and i could be mis remembering but i dont remember the pancake event taking me all that long. I do play with a full squad so idk if that boosts it or not. I did not know AB was penalized… that is kinda scummy…

you can do entire star in two hours, just saying. last event i tracked was the flapjack, heres one star i did with Su-33 in ARB:

notice there are two games where i did literally nothing and one game where i only got 198 score points - even flying defensively the entire time or getting killed early on three occasions allowed me to finish the entire star in less than two hours.
Yeah, me too … . I play 4.3 - 5.3(mostly 4.7) and I do fairly well on average there.

That “Average Score” minus the penalty comes to 1701.
A player a few BR’s higher in RB can get a 1.2 multiplier bonus = 2268
Well over 500 points or nearly 30% per game is just kind of silly . . .
to me anyway
That’s the system in place and as mentioned, it greatly handicaps players
that simply do not need or deserve a penalty at all.
The marks are not unobtainable, but good luck trying to earn enough to try to
sell whatever prize vehicle is up for grabs . . . just not going to happen.
Just needs to have the whole thing looked at and adjusted
to make it fair for everyone.
In my humble opinion
ok, now show us that same chart for AB at tiers III & IV and then tell us
how long it actually takes.
You cannot even compare the two they are so far apart
And factor in the games that goobers end so fast no one scores diddly . . .
I just had a game where it was over so fast, two ground pounders scored over 1000
the other 30 players got bupkis for their time and effort . . . this is an event problem too
Doesn’t this happen in RB at times as well?
I’d say they’re quite unobtainable on weekdays too.
I consider myself decently average in SB and I… can get like 4000 mission score in 45 minutes. I need to play 2 hours each day assuming I’m performing at my best (and I get exhausted around 60 minutes if it’s a very active lobby).
I have energy for 1 game (45 to 90 minutes) and that’s it.
Today’s very nice game that I went and clipped… was 3876 score. 8000 after applying sim modifiers. For 45K score needed total. And I was tired after the match and likely wouldnt have produced the same results anyway.
Air though is definetly the most forgiving of the 3. The only one imo, where the score gains / task progress arent that far off where they need to be. Likely due to it being balanced for single spawn (though the SB nerfs suck).
not in game RN so I cant punch in the arcade modifiers but I recall these were improved since last time I looked at them; now arcade is 1.0x, used to be sub 1.0x IIRC.
but yeah, modifier is lower so it will take slightly longer; however rank modifier does not change between arcade, realistic and sim.
if you can score consistently, you can clear the star pretty fast.
cant comment on game flow of arcade, last time i played arcade was some good 8 years ago.
eh, rarely. Its event so lot of people zerg rush bases, and since they all compete with each other they dont defend properly, so its quite easy to shoot them down.
Hence the table I shared, my average score per game was 2149 after modifiers.
I feel ya man . . . doing a 45k per stage event often leads me to playing 10 - 12 hours . .
well . . not playing games back-to-back . … lol, I am old and have to rest between games
and walk away from time to time just to NOT get exhausted.
If i played any RB at all, I mean where I could score something . . . it might be different.
But tanks and planes . . I just do AB . . . I like it better and have better luck usually.
Naval I play both AB & RB and can do those events in next to no time compared
to flying or tanking . . I also play higher/top tiers there as well . … the difference
is staggering.
But I do not understand that by not playing RB or Sim that I have to get such a terrible
penalty. Hell, even if I played RB I could not score well enough to even do a mark,
so my choices are extremely limited . . . which is kinda sad . . . but . . .
way of the world
im fine with ground as well, but making the score requirement lower benefits everyone but the people who want to sell so i wouldnt really mind lol
not slightly longer, a LOT longer . . . that’s the whole point . . .
I wouldn’t mind an extra hour or two total, but it’s closer to 3 - 4 hours
per day . . . this is the entire basis for the conflict and inequity we’re talking about
Which is kinda why I think the score multipliers need increasing for GRB and especially high BR NRB (events playing battleships can take a while due to the far lower RoF, a lot of score in generated with hits)
Air vehicle events are the easiest type of event and really not that bad as some people make them out to be. Air RB is boring but stupidly easy if you pick a plane you’re actually good at and genuinely enjoy playing. Put some music on and you can get the tasks done in 1 day, takes about 3-4 hours. They give you 2 days to complete one mark and in my opinion it’s more than doable even if you have a job or school which prohibits you from playing long.
Also regarding your point that it’s hard for new players to win these rewards, realistically speaking I don’t think a new player should jump straight into an F16…
whats the arcade modifier?
It is 1.0, so no penalty there, but the BRs I play(the old mid tiers 4.3 - 5.3)
get penalized at 0.9, so every score is automatically lowered . . .
I end up playing 30% more games to get the same score as an RB player who
has just a little bit higher BRs . . . it’s just a bit too much to be fair to all players
And again, just my opinion as a long time AB player
Also, I do not think that many of the players at these BR’s are "new.
Seems like the majority have been playing a good while and just like
the planes(or tanks) in that area of the game. The competition is good
and most matches play out fairly well and even(more than not I think)
But I also have no solid data to support all that, just my observations
Okay, what about fighter players in WW2 BRs of air sim?
Now, jet events aren’t really my interest so no horse in the race for me, but for say the flapjack?
It was pretty hellish to grind it.
Score I got for one of my best games. 70 minutes of flying.
Deeply exhausted. No more games that day.
6561 x 2.3 x 0.9 = 13581.27
Target: 35 000 for the flapjack.
Another very nice lobby:
Like 65 minutes of flying (accidentally linked the earlier screenie earlier. fixed)
This one was 45 minutes of flying on my part.
I very rarely play sim so I can’t comment on that, but my question for you is why make your life more difficult than it has to be? At the end of the day, if you really want the copy paste event vehicle your goal is to get the marks as quickly as possible and move on with your day, sim isn’t the most rewarding for that if you get my point
Naval gets a blanket x 1.9 modifier in AB (x 2.3 in RB IIRC), plus tier bonuses, making it far and away the easiest mode to complete tasks in for those who play it.
I only like flying in SB.
And I only really like gunfighters and dislike missiles.
unrelated but how to do you get it to show k/d? Also i love how my friends think i play this game a ton and im like yea i have played like 2 hours compared to some people lol
Im retarded… NVM LOL
