[Event] Get Glaive in the Marine Gendarme Event!

Ye but it still painful to grind to rank 3.

Depends on the ships mate. Those player espically with the Soyuz and IOWA will probaly easily complete it but those with absolutely rubbish will take longer times.

To be fair, coastal’s economic modifiers also aren’t great :/

They really should be better than bluewater for the comparative effort you have to put in, and what you have to fight…

Is this really so much worse than HMAS Fremantle in some way that justifies this lower BR?

Just play 5.3 brits.

On a particularly good day you’re done in about two or so hours on a 40k point event stage.

Edit

And one of the single most durable 7.3s in the bracket. Kongou class are ridiculously good despite having british 35.6 cm guns, which are the cringiest things imaginable.

More of an equivalent to the Attack class after seeing tonnage & BR, yet Fremantle class should’ve also been 2.7 over 3.0 yet that’s the pom tree tax.

Cant you see that an extra 4 knots of speed and a combo M2+ASW mortar are critical and are clearly the most useful thing in for a boat in this game, of course it has a higher BR (/s)

Jokes aside, the Fremantle really should move down.

Currently I do not have any vehciles in the british tree other then the Spitfires and is the US ships any good in 2026? Back in the days it is great but I have not touch low tier naval for a momment now.

The Omahas are hot garbage. The DDs are still oppressive.

Until they face anything with some sort of armor at 7.5km+.

Pretty meh. Easy enough to do with naval bonuses, but not going to excite anyone much.

CoughSalemCoughCough

Edit: so this doesn’t get deleted this event vehicle should be decent at 2.7 I was worried it would be 3.3.

Very nice photos!

And yeah, 2.7 is a good place for it. Though ideally it’d be a little lower, I can’t complain given the PT-808 in the JP tree with just an extra 40mm gets slapped at 3.3…

Yeah, nah. Not to mention naval has been the most boring game mode for a while now, and there’s already a battle pass ship for free.

Its PG too no cigarette.

Let’s hope the best version of this ship, with its SS12 missiles, will be added in the tech tree next patch and this is just an event variant. Still, a single BOFOR ship is probably the most boring kind of coastal ship possible.

How would you even begin to decompress coastal? The second you move anything up it will just get it’s teeth kicked in by more powerful blue water ships, the only way they can fix it is to remove the coastal tree entirely and go back to having coastal before blue water (why they thought changing that would work is beyond me).

Perhaps coastal should have its own matchmaking and not mixed with bluewater.
2.7 vs 3.7 is insanely unbalanced.

Expand Bluewater BRs to at least 14.0, move everything up a bunch. Decompress coastal :P

That, or as the other commenter said, give coastal its own mode. It’d probably be the best solution, and it would mean cold war monsters like the SKR-7 aren’t bullying twin 40mm PT boats and basically-reserve DDs anymore.

Move all Bluewater ships higher so they won’t meet the boats. Add more boats on different BR. Fix the most broken ships like Flower class

That would probably be best, it would also fix the coastal boats ending BB matches in 5 mins with capping the sheltered water points.

That would probably happen organically if they re-merged the Coastal/ Blue water TTs as it would require the DDs to move up atleast a full BR to fit them.
well assuming they did a proper decompression anyway.

If it’s damage model is closer to the Attack class then 2.7 makes total sense.

Nah I don’t think Fremantle needs to move down, but naval overall requires severe decompression. Fremantle is solid compared to most other 3.0 boats, especially after some of the French boats went up recently. But many 3.3s are in an entire other league.
