Wowee… blast from the past.

This was a fun event “back-in-the-day” … looking forward to playing it again!

(funny how battlepass has a flying boat and this event coincidentally is back… not that I’m complaining mind… hopefully a few other old events will be back sometime?)

Damn the N1K1 is kinda a monster in this mode

That’s what I was thinking… Same with H8K’s… Same with the 196’s…

Still no Ar 196 A-5 for Germany?:

Its a shame some people cant comprehend the concept of fun.

No rewards is abit of deterrent, but i’d rather have this than another grind

We are observing how it looks like. If something, we will remove it from the list a bit later (a bit tricky to modify the settings without breaking whole event, so it can take a while).

Ohh joy floats (totally not an attempt to suppress certain unsavoury groups anger?), Hm Po-2M heh looks like I’ll be doing some whaling with it’s rockets Wahahahahahahaha (I kinda wish I could give a friend the spare one I built).

On a side thought, I do kinda wish there was say an RNG box reward containing all old event/ premium floatplanes & flyingboats as that might have motivated players to play it (plus it would give me a chance to get the MBR-2 I missed all those years ago sigh).

Furthermore, You guys could’ve allowed catapult launched floatplanes to be used as a free option to players without say a floatplane (I still think those should be unlockable as TT aircraft once you research the mod on a ship).

Hm I speculate that the Heinkel He 115, Arado 196 & Short Sunderland’s will be the most aggressive aircraft due to forward fixed armament along with the Blöhm & Voss 138 being a mean boi to fight.

Sweet
God I hope gaijin could bring this back as a yearly thing and not just a one off for the first time since 2017 or whenever it was last done.
This is fun as hell.

Pretending to be a AC-130 with the H8K3 circling over a enemy on the water ripping into them, watching sunderlands go into the vertical to get guns on target below them, watching float bombers do loops and spins brawling with each other without worrying about a fighter swooping in ruining the fun.

And to top it all off I’m earning RP and spading some floatplanes while having fun.

This is the shit

Where is BV 238 and Be-6? If PBMs,H8Ks which are bigger than Be-6 and slightly smaller than BV can be there?

This is a good opportunity for Japanese seaplanes to play an active role, so I hope that the N1K1 will not be removed, but to be honest, I am prepared to be excluded because of its strength.

As you all know, the N1K1 can evolve into the N1K1-Ja by purging its floats.
The floatless N1K1 can become a “紫電(シデン)”, so in Japan it is called a “シデソ”, a play on words in katakana.

Oooo awesome! I never had the chance to play this originally, super happy to see it return! :D

Nice to see a bunch of the newer planes included, though I really wish all the ship-launched planes were in the Air tree too.

Very fun event, shame that nation renowned for having interwar/WW2 hydroplanes have only one in tech tree

Why is the BV-238 missing? It should be there. The PBM-5A Mariner is allowed so should the BV-238. Both are at 3.7 BR

The 238 in a mode where bomb loads are meaningless and the only thing that is important is defensive armament for brawling with other floatplanes?

Of which most have pitiful armament?

God no

Good luck having fun in WT. Good for you.

You need the bombs to sink the warships guarding the cap points.
