then the issue isnt with the format but required score, no? :)
Format of constant event flow is an issue too. As I said before, two such events per year was good (for me). It gave (me) the time to get some rest from the game and created a tension, an urge to participate.
Now its not an EVENT (as I understand this word - something that happens rarely, from time to time). Its a chore. Constant, time consuming, mind melting chore.
lowered required score would remove this specific problem, no? :) and at that point, we would be arguing only how much required score is justifiable, but that would highly depend on vehicle.
anyway.
wouldnt that be FOMO?
only if you opt in to participate, and only if you want to sell.
well i personally had great time so far. I reached 8 stars, got my object, and played warthunder for relax since then since jaguar did not appeal to me. same with the ship. and depending on the next ground reward, that might continue. shame last winter event wasnt under the new format already, since i would get both vilkas and mirage.
If its good for you, thats great. At least someone is pleased :)
Thing is, you dont need to try to swing me in favor of this new format. I know what is best for me and I opted out. Its too much for me.
not trying to, im just defending my position.
good, more people take this approach, the better.
Did I attack you in any way? If so, Im sorry.
Nope you didnt, misunderstanding on my part, for which i apologize.
I meant it generally, if i have opinion i should be prepared to defend it.
The more people who stop playing War Thunder, the better it is for War Thunder: the reductio ad absurdum of the coupon-holders’ position.
Not at all (by the way your screenshots prove nothing, you could have all your coupons on long-term sell offers and so they wouldn’t be in your inventory, but I’ll believe you). The fact I’m saying you’re aligning yourself with the sorts of destructive gamer behaviors these events are revolving around doesn’t mean you currently profit from them personally.
It’s your apparently taking some pleasure at other longtime players telling you they’re playing the game less as a result of these event changes that’s problematic. They’re not the only ones saying it either; the prices plunged on the second event and it’s unlikely they’re ever coming back, now that people realize there’s chumps who’ll grind a coupon out for them and they’ll pay under 20 GJN for a vehicle each time. Your motives in saying that are your own. But yes, it is the desired outcome of the coupon-holders as well. If everybody plays less, their digital coupons are worth more fake money, and for them that’s a win.
Taken to its extreme, defending coupon-holder equities would destroy War Thunder. I don’t think this will happen, because I don’t think Gaijin gives a toss about their coupon-holders or market prices: if a strat brings in more GJN-from-real money conversions, they’ll do it and not look back, and have done so often in the past. Nor should they do any different.
It’s fine to say “we agree to disagree.” It’s your, “byee, don’t hit the door on your way out” attitude in posts by people that are saying they’ve just had enough and are opting out of not just the event, but the game too, that is unbecoming here.
And i presume screenshoting the market page would also prove nothing, because i couldve simply undo the order, screenshot it, and then put it back in, right?
At this point, would even video evidence suffice?
anyway
no pleasure. I just geniunely try to understand the mentality behind the motivation that forces them to play less.
I could elaborate on this more, but for now, lets just say that while i heard more arguments, the one that was repeated the most was “well i cant take break from the game otherwise i wont get every vehicle, and if gaijin didnt want us to grind those vehicles then whats the point?” which, ok, i can understand that to some extent, but then it does not matter how hard is to sell the vehicles or not.
unironically? good.
make no mistake, i absolutely loathe the fact that some vehicles are only accesible through market, and i think this system should be abolished entirely, leaving market only for vehicle skins. anything that will make the vehicle market die off faster is a net positivine in my eyes.
I try to treat people like they treat me, and if that is a problem to some of them, what can i do. Im fine with sarcasm, im not fine with insults (even indirect ones) and beliteling and i will respond in rude way.
Where’s the “trying to understand” part in that, again?
