Eurofighter vs Rafale battlefield

55.83%,I need a more powerful radar and IRIS-T

It really should not be surprising. Minor nation players are not significantly better than major nation players when it comes to top tier when you consider that for the vast majority of players…the game is simply a dice roll of spamming whatever missiles they have.

Might want to be careful there, I was talking in general about HUD in that specific quote, you can see my post is unedited. I was talking about how things that would seem simple to fix on the Rafale’s HUD is still not implemented and is not a pattern of anything in general.

Rafale HUD incorrect speed unit // Gaijin.net // Issues

Rafale HUD incorrect altitude unit // Gaijin.net // Issues

Fair enough. You specifically quoted a sentence about HUD tint in your reply, so I assumed you were talking about HUD tint.

I already stated that the aircraft with the 2nd most open report had the 2nd most fixes.

The seeker performance ingame for MICA is accurate, the TVC providing the HOBS performance it currently has is not even up to its realistic performance, why do you think the TVC shouldn’t see the level of performance seen in-game?

How does that work? That something stops being OP once its been proliferated to a few more tech trees?

How so? If you make a list of the top 10 whiniest complainers that Smin regularly has to shut down due to their cope, Frenchies wouldn’t be in that top 10. How do you quantify that?

Accurate ≠ Balanced, I perform signifigantly better in a MICA equipped jet than one with AMRAAMs, it can be artificially nerfed like everything else until the time is right

Because it’s not one sided anymore, a Greek and/or Indonesian Rafale will mean that Rafales fight Rafales, and by that metric the dominance of the french one will be diluted, leading to normalised winrates again, instead of the 65-75% averaged by a French rafale player with a brain these days

I’m sure your french-free list doesn’t endeavour to lobby content creators or falsify bug reports do they?

You’re forgetting the numerous reports that people needed to make to actually make the Mirage 2000C fly properly after release. Magic II was also just all aspect, it had no IRCCM back then. Super 530D was decent and piggybacked off the numerous reports for the Super 530F to release in a functional state.

There is good reason why the overwhelming majority of complaints back then were about the F-14A, that also dominated the matchmaking for a significant time.

You mean just like some other broken aircraft have dominated their matchmaking? It’s nothing extraordinary. Spitfire Mk24 bullied people for ages, it took gaijin at least three years to actually add a proper counterpart with the P-51H.

Or if you want only top tier, then look no further than the CL-13A Mk5 back on release where it had no real competition until the Hunter F1 that was released over a year later.

It happened with other vehicle types too, Scharnhorst being the biggest outlier so far. Literally wrecked the whole of naval without any competition or superior threat for almost three years.

Well I’m not talking top tier from 7 years ago, the Rafale is OP now, and the fixes needed to balance things out are fairly low maintainance and basic

It actually got nerfed in terms of fm other than top speed, its turn performance was significantly nerfed

You are however complaining that the Rafale is dominating top tier for a long time while it’s happened before and those others have historically dominated for longer.

Which is the fault of Gaijin for being stubborn and not fixing “fairly low maintainance and basic” things to make top tier more competitive.

Well it depends, as some have pointed out, if they add Indian Rafale to UK, it would just lead to more Rafale domination since UK and France are paired together. Not sure how often Israel is paired with or against France since that is not something I keep track of.

Is changing the goal post one of your past time? What does what you said have anything to do with the claim that the “French mains tends to be some of the whiniest people in the community”?

Changing the meaning of what you say when you realise you are not making sense ?
Obviously, when you are in French related threads, you’ll see lots of people having their thoughts on their favorite vehicles. But if you go in any other nation related thing, you’ll see the same patterns. If I want to see which people (and I’ll spare the argument of saying they represent their communities), I just have to go to rumour round up and discussion. Who here constantly whines, and get shutdown by moderators ? Just a hint, it’s neither the Israel mains, nor the Italian mains, nor the French mains, nor the Russian mains (tbs Russian community has their own website), nor the Chinese people (they do get free passes when they become ultra nationalistic), nor the Japanese, nor the sweeds. I’ll let you figure out which nations mains I’ve not mentioned

Arguably the most “whiniest French main” that exists on forum could be said to be Cpt_Bel but he doesn’t really whine either, he just engages in a lot of arguments with other users. (I love you Cpt_Bel).

I am not forgetting them considering I have covered Mirage 2000 flight model changes pretty in-depth. The only real issue the plane had on release was the rip speed. The old flight model prior to the turn rate fix from Piiot was arguably better in Air RB scenarios as well and was definitely a better dogfighter in Air SB.

That was over a decade ago. Also the Spitfire Mk.24 got to have the fun of fighting planes like the Me-163. That is also leaving out how much better performing some of the Japanese stuff like the Ki-84 and F8F was in comparison to their present day flight models.

The CL.13 Mk.5 had the distinguishing feature of being an F-86 Sabre with a 10km higher top speed than the other F model Sabres and marginally better acceleration. In fact the differences are so insignificant that these days the Cl.13 Mk.5 only performs marginally better than the F-86 F-2 Sabre while sharing the same matchmaker.

image

The F-2 Sabre has 95% the kills per spawn of the Cl.13 Mk.5 and 96% of the kills per death. This is in spite of the American side usually be saddled with grinders in planes like the A-4B which largely end up being free kills.

image

By comparison, the British Eurofighter, the 2nd best top tier aircraft that always fights on the same side as the Rafale, only achieves 72% of its kills per spawn and only 70% of its kills per death. Every other top tier fighter performs even worse.

When identical planes are placed on opposite sides of the matchmaker, with the Rafale being almost purely the only wildcard variable, the Italian Eurofighter ends up performing around 20% lower in terms of kills per spawn and kills per death when compared to the British Eurofighter.

To put things in perspective; the period of other planes “dominating” that you mention basically amounts to them having 5% better overall match performance, and for a shorter period of time, than the 30%+ performance advantage that the Rafale has enjoyed for the past year.

Something missing from the conversation is that it is often attributed that the Rafale’s performance in-game is solely due to its short-medium range performances while ignoring the possibility that a dynamic team that has both long-range BVR performance planes and short-medium range performance planes (Rafale, EFT) will outperform a team that only has long-range performance planes (EFT, F15).

It is easy for the Rafale to get within medium-short range of enemy aircraft when there are British Eurofighters that can provide high altitude coverage in the beginning of the matches preventing the enemy team from having a fish in the barrel collapse on top of the Rafales.

Except the Su-30SM exists and will commonly be paired up with Italy or Germany when they are fighting against France.

“The game has been unbalanced before therefore we shouldn’t even try to balance it” ???
