Eurofighter vs Rafale battlefield

F-15C Calculated Max Turn Rate at 40,000 feet is around 5 degrees per second.

F-15C Manual Value is around 5 degrees per second.

Even the Eurofighter flight model generally attempts to mimic either ESR-D requirements or MOD EFA Calculation (whichever is higher in a certain regard.)

I would hazard to guess if we compared available high altitude data of the F-16 to its War Thunder flight model that it’s peak high altitude sustained turn rate would be roughly correct.

So this idea that the Rafale overperforms at high altitude by the same margins as everything else doesn’t really seem to have any merit.

I also hope this doesn’t start to make people think there is a bias towards France as a whole in WT, because there absolutely is not. France is continually screwed over by Gaijin, and the only place where they aren’t is with the Rafale.

you could say the M2K’s are doing pretty well, thats what ive heard at least

and they keep on getting some of the best F-16’s, while the US (who made the thing in the first place) hasnt gotten an F-16 since the C forever ago

The M2K’s are also disgustingly strong and performing extremely well, which is why they got pushed up to 14.0, but thats more from how OP the MICA is compared to everything anyone else in the game gets coupled with a good dogfighting airframe in a game where multipath and notching are wildly more effective than they should be.

The earlier M2K’s are also very strong (or were last I played them)

if this update has major AMRAAM buffs it would be the most balanced top tier has been in a while imo. especially to the C-5

Top tier hasnt been anywhere close to balanced since gaijins shortsighted idea of adding 229 F-15E/I. Top tier air was rough before then (cuz of horrid maps and terrible game design), but atleast the aircrafts could generally hang with each other.

Then gaijin thought itd be funny to give isreal a 229 F-15I, the americans (rightfully) complained, the F-15E got buffed (instead of temp. nerfing the F-15I, which wouldve been a better idea), then nobody could keep up so they tossed in the delta ducks and ever since we’ve all been under the Rafales boot in-game, and the Rafale mains complaints their jet “isnt strong enough yet” on the forums, along with their bad faith bug reports to wrap everything up in a neat little bow.

well, thats why i said in a while

I’ve already seen a large number of people screaming for France nerfs because of supposed “French bias” now. People have such poor memory now, was only a few years ago that even UK and IT tree players pitied FR tree mains for being the most abused and poorly managed tree. You’d think if there actually was French bias they’d have added more French stuff instead of lazy copypasta through the worst subtree in the game.

MP and notching being made more realistic will buff the MICA further, it’d just also make long range shots viable in return. Which will probably make the SU-30SM oppressive with how it gets the best long range missile and the deepest magazine of missiles. But getting close to a MICA carrier will still mean you lose.

What does the situation earlier have to do with the situation now? The MICA is the only missile with a unique, better seeker and the Rafale gets more buffing bug fixes in a month than the entirety of 14.3 gets in a year. French bias is probably the wrong term but Rafale bias is quite fitting.

The treatment the Rafale is getting is an outlier rather than the norm, so it shouldn’t be taken as evidence to show French stuff is getting preferential treatment? It’s pretty straightforward.

Yeah thats why i said french bias is just the wrong term. But the Rafale absolutely gets biased treatment rn and i dont think anyone thinks that france generally gets biased treatment, at least i dont see any complaints about anything besides the Rafale or MICAs in general.

Last time France were truly suffering was when the f1c dropped. Since they had the mirage 2k they are not suffering lol

It isn’t Rafale bias if Gaijin was focusing on vehicles with the most open reports, and simultaneously a lot of the reports on the Rafale that got fixed were things that took only a few buttons on the part of the developers.

You see that would be a compelling argument if other planes like the EF didnt have bug report pages longer than the average devblog. And its not like those bugs are any harder to fix than the Rafales except for the garbage CAPTOR M maybe

That is totally irrelevant.

Like for example the Typhoon having a sooty exhaust (or any aircraft that has an erreneous sooty exhaust) surely cant take 1-2 years for the devs to fix

The amount of reports open for the EFT was less than the Rafale back before the fixes came in droves for the Rafale. And again, fixing the EFT’s flight model for example while making sure it doesn’t affect other areas of the flight model is much more difficult than changing the Rafale’s empty weight by entering a few numbers.

Still relevant when taking into account that the Rafale has the same bug report open and it still also hasn’t been fixed, so other factors are at play rather than “Gaijin has Rafale bias”. I mean, it was funny seeing this being propagated for the first few months but continuing to believe that the developers as a collective have a bias towards the Rafale still to this day is unreasonable.

Does anyone have the Eurofighter open bug report comment on hand by any chance?

Why would it be? It sits at an unreasonable winrate. Gets Bugfixes (buffs) faster than its competitors and the MICA gets special treatment among all FOX3s. So how would people not develop the feeling that it gets preferential treatment?

The difference though. In most cases (like the Tornado and I think the Typhoon) they usually opt for underperforming when game limitations impact how accurately they can model the FM. The Rafale on the other hand seems to be the opposite, with less drag than it should have. Its wierd…

God forbid the Tornado could actually achieve its top speed because its FM might be slightly too good compared to IRL in some places.

is the latest.

But there are a LOT of internal reports. I think Gunjob said the current count was somehwere around 110-120 open reports

I really need to get on and write another report for radar instability issues
