Eurofighter vs Rafale battlefield

Mach 1.29 currently, will leave it for a few minutes, see if that increases at all

Edit: Maxed out at 1.33. Giving it a quick burst of AB pushing it to 1.35, it holds it okay, but is dropping very slowly

Tested on Denmark, which is probaby the conditions the Typhoon was tested in IRL (and the same is probably true for the Rafale)

its really funny that he says something positive about the F16, Harrier and Alpha jet and is only negative about the Typhoon in that paragraph. Its almost sounds a little like hes coping 😂

Yeah it doesn’t exactly scream fair assessment:

“I think the most challenging was the F-16, it’s a pretty small jet so it’s easy to lose sight of it.”

“The Harrier can really turn around pretty fast”

“We’re a truly omnirole platform.”
(literally no additional multirole capacity over an EF)

Not sure what it is with SOME rafale fans, it’s one thing to campaign for your toy to be better, it’s a whole other to flat out lie to, misinform and deceive gaijin with either botched reports on the EFT, or pestering in threads, and so on… begs the question that if the rafale is so superior, why go to such lengths to keep it that way in game 🤣

I wouldnt expect a Rafale pilot to do a fair assessment, neither would i expect a Typhoon pilot to do the same but i feel like the Rafale dude could have used some better examples than an Alpha Jet

They link to a typhoon interview in that actually, but he’s a lot more superficial about it:

Furthermore, both luftwaffe and raf typhoon pilots tend to have a profound respect for the Rafale and it’s crew, as a capable and interesting platform operated by an ally, although a sentiment that doesn’t seem to be mutual

Still love the fact that one of our major buffs for the Brimstone came from a Frenchie trying to artificially nerf the Brimstone even more than it already is and one of the sources he was mis-interpretting resulted in a buff.

Thank god he got banned

But I do find it funny that they keep mentioning the fact that “Germany, Britain and Italy dont currently operate CAPTOR-E and have only tested it, and therefore should be ellegible for AESA” despite the fact that they have multiple tested outfits (loadout and HMD) and the Typhoon is actually deployed with AESA to several middle east countries.

Almost wonder if they are scared that the Typhoon might be better with an equal or better radar

@Metaltank1990 @I_MiikaL_I
What i meant is that every pilot is gonna love their machine more than someone elses but the Rafale dude really pulled some bad examples in that text

Well he showed a clear (and understandable) bias, one that isn’t representative of reality and shouldn’t be regarded as a source for why the CAPTOR-M is bugged in game

Yeah, no idea what DS was on about there, using that Rafale Pilot interview as evidence the CAPTOR-M is meant to be bugged.

I will say one of the biggest cuts to the CAPTOR’s performance is the fact that our IRST can’t operate alongside it. Out far it’s actually alright, but close in it should be the IRST scanning much, much faster over a wider area and then passing that target data across.

As for the German ones? Unfortunate, really.

P-Track would also help loads. Currently it can take up to 8 seconds for a targets position to be updated depending on the exact mode.

Should be at most 2 seconds for up to 6 targets.

That is no small buff. But yeah, have any of our sesnor fusion modeled would help loads.

(PIRATE + CAPTOR-M, Sriker 1 IFF, Striker 1 + MAWS, etc)

It wouldn’t entirely shock me if the MAWS could function in a limited capacity as a sensor too but unfortunately the chances of finding a source in either direction on that are basically zero

Finding sources for any of the sensor fusion features that are remotely advanced seems impossible, very well could be capable of doing that, but is gaijin hearing any of it, nope 😬

Please don’t mention Sensor Fusion… shudders.

I mean there’s no inherent reason why it wouldn’t be capable of doing that. The only way it could not act as a sensor is if it intentionally ignores things that aren’t missiles, which would be a very weird decision to make on the part of eurodass…

Scummy French multipathing superior chad Typhoons…😜

The unknown part that matter is what radar type the MAWS actually is. GR7 for example from my understanding at the very least, is just a PD radar that would only detect something fast coming towards the aircraft.

Its entirely possible the MAWS is AESA and it is suspected, but without that piece of information, it would be hard to prove the radar is even capable of detecting anything more than just a missile.

Hes a Squadron commander he’s in a pretty good position to know.
We have had AESA on test for Typhoon for years and export customers are now operating the first AESA radars.

Captor M is a weakpoint of Typhoon with the quality of AESA Radars as noted by an F-22 exhange pilot.
