Eurofighter Typhoon (UK versions) - Technical data and discussion

Match starts,
Takeoff and reach mach 1 while setting the target point to there AF
Drop,
Enjoy

Or use Storm Shadow which I dont think even requires being launched that fast

Well, Taurus also dont need Mach bit its an little bit of help :)

I hope that in the next update they at least bring the fixes to the MFDs and HUD simbology of the Eurofighter

at least that

And which is the best? Asraam or iris t?

It depends, do you want an missile which has a bit more range, or an missile with less range but more G overload

Anything over 40g is overkill in my opinion. Were almost never getting to the knife fights where the 50+ g missiles are needed. Id rather have longer range

Than ASRAAM for you…
I take IRIS-T, because funny G overload ))))

Dont forget its able to intercept other missles.

Im not passing judgement until i see how Gaijin model an ASRAAM…if the IRIS-T and 9X actually work im not going to suffer with ASRAAM if I can avoid it

recently i start playing J-11B, Rafale, F-15E and F/A-18C (early and late) in sim.

Oh god is the EF-2000/Gripen Radar bullshit nerfed by gaijin. For me it needs much more effort to get kills in a eurofighter than in the other top tier planes…

To me, this is clearly what Gaijin intended. If they wanted to do it properly, it would have been done already. For me, Gaijin has shown with the SU-30SM and the KH-38 that they aren’t interested in balancing and that certain vehicles are favored. Not just Russian vehicles.

ASRAAM will be superior to aim-9X in every respect and ASRAAM should beat out IRIS-T in anything but point blank range.

IIR looks like it’s going to modeled as 2x IRCCM rather than IIR based upon rumours/leaks, but they should all be relatively equal in that department

What was the G overload for ASRAAM?
Cant wait to see the 60-70G / 100G overload of the IRIS-T xD

Neat, cant wait for the day we get them

It works fine, i can’t speak about the gripen since i don’t have it but the EF radar works absolutely fine even in sim

The core strength for the ASRAAM is speed and range. Whilst irist is undoubtedly the best in close. like 5-10km. It’s far less of a threat past that point. ASRAAM though is deadly out to more like 30km.

The real question is how the IRCCM will work at range. Because if stray IR signatures are enough to defeat an ASRAAM past 10km, then that balance of power could shift back

Yup, you can make it work, but you need 10x more effort than any other radar to just get a shot off, let alone properly fight a target. And forget using the radar in WVR

Gripens radar is better than the Typhoons currently and I’d count the typhoon’s radar as the weakest/hardest to use in the entire British TT. F3s radar destroys it entirely
