The latest render for Tempest look much nicer than the original mockup, I’m wondering if it will end up tailless like the Americans and Chinese? Seems to be flavour of the month.
or like the FCAS that has a very light V tail if u can even call it that
Last I heard it is not known yet what design they went with exactly, 4 different designs were being looked at and cut down to 2 by 2024, and 1 is supposed to be picked by this year. Article says final design supposed to be picked by March of 2025 but I have not heard anything saying that they had concluded final design choice. One of the potential designs seems to be a tailless delta.

no but what i see now is that is has no boundary seperator for the air intake
it has the humps in the air intake as the boundary seperator as seen on the JF-17 for example
I say we do away with wings, who needs them when you can thrust vector 50gs and make pilot soup.
Divertless supersonic intake bulges, those probably are.
Like speed bumps for the air to slam into when you go really fast so the engine doesn’t have a bad day.

Idk maybe XD - I am following the Japanese side of GCAP more actively. What they’ve developed in the last couple of years is quite interesting and may find their way into GCAP / F-3 (e.g. the engine already seems to be).
The question is, what is going to be added to WT first. The Tempest or the F-2 :P
