Would make sense to adapt the BRU-61s/adapt the Spear-3 to the BRU-61 that the F-35 can already equip to carry Spear-3s rather than developing a new launch rail just for the Spear-3

Maybe, I think this is Eurofighters offering to compete with F-15EX. There seems to be a push to turn your four gen fighters into missile trucks for your 5th and soon to be 6th gen fighters to queue up those weapons over datalink.

true I know the UK and Germany have rather large EFT fleets and dont plan to fully replace them with F35s so I can see this happening but we will just have to wait and see. (Im not even sure if the MoD went through with purchasing new Trenche 4 EFTs or are just gonna continue to modernise Trenche 3 and Trenche 2s)

If the call for huge missile loads comes I’d expect it in the next defence review. I don’t think there is currently a huge push from customers for turning EFT into a missile truck like F-15EX. I suspect we don’t have enough Meteors in stock to make this a realistic option… yet. Things are developing at a rather rapid pace in the European defence industries at the minute.

Germany never planed to use the f35 as a EF replacement.
It will only be used to phase out the remaining tornados in the German AF

I said they didnt plan to replace the EFTs the UK bought F35s for the QE class carriers and so far we have only ordered F35Bs so I doubt we are replacing our EFTs
If only we’d gone for the vtol eurofighter that made up one of the proposals

Tempest is slated to replace Typhoon in UK service. So the Typhoon will be around for a long time yet.
mhm, im curious how much tempest will have changed from the original concept by the time we have a working prototype or even the production variant
RAF website has some early examples, might look drastically different by 2035, but it would appear SPEAR 3 and StormShadow class of weapons in the internal bay, how they make that fit is yet to be seen but I’m sure BAE is cooking.
