Yeah, now the radar will straight up refuse to show you targets in some conditions, just played a game where i looked down on enemies from about 20km and in game my radar was blank, neither friendly nor enemy contacts, in the replay contacts show up and instantly disappear/don’t retain at all.
This is definitely a bug, or maybe just packet loss, but i didn’t get a network warning.
Here’s the replay, at the 4 minute mark.
Are there sources for EF roll rate?
Some articles say 200+, in game it feels like it does something like 120.
From this video I timed the maneuver at 5:40 and it seems to do a 270 degree roll in 1.8 seconds, which is about a 150 degree roll rate.
I think this video (1:03) shows it better but this does vary in speed of course so it could just be completely different. In this clip is was going around mach 0.7ish
Videos like these can’t really be used as reports because of fuel load, weather etc, so as you said our hope is for someone to find genuine sources
That guy kind of looks like that top gear bloke.
After looking at the video the maximal roll rate seems to be 180°/s in motion when going from 90° to 180°, 150°/s start-no stop at the first 360° degree mark and 120°/s start-stop at the 720° mark, so gaijin isn’t that far off the mark, but i think it should be a bit faster in a sustained roll.
This makes sense considering that the EF might need several rolls to reach 200+ °/s of roll rate, like the a-4 Skyhawk that had a reported 720 °/s maximal roll rate needing 4 rolls to reach it.

I think it was discussed earlier in the thread that KSA were switching to them (from Damocles) since Kuwait had selected the pod, and Eurofighter started work on integrating it in 2023.
