Maybe, but there’s a lot more than just fin-placement wrong for that.
Thanks
alarm yeah
also i think those are like gbu-10 or gbu-50
One little question out of the blue what is the maximum angle of detection on a captor E mk2 , since it is an AESA so 90° and applied on a mechanics stearing mecanism how much would that give it ?
Iirc it’s just touted as greater than 100 degrees or something
Edit yeah >100 degrees according to this slide from Leonardo
Yes, ±40° mechanical and ± 60° electronical steering, so a total scan area of 200° in azimuth and elevation.
The mechanical antena of the CAPTOR-M was able to steer ±70° in azimuth and ±60° in elevation, so that was reduced for the CAPTOR-E which most likely is because of the bigger size of the antenna with its TR-Modules.
do we know how good the radar is ?
Define “good”… And which radar exactly? Captor-M? Captor-E? CAESAR? ECRS Mk1/2?
±70° azimuth and ±60° elevation for Blue Vixen and CAPTOR-M.
So the bug report about the cockpit buttons missing the lights that were present on the Dev Server but not on the live server has been marked as not a bug.
https://community.gaijin.net/issues/p/warthunder/i/sNRBtIYVNwxT
Apparently the lights are for selected operating modes which hasn’t been implemented so the Devs decided not to add them. But it just makes the cockpit look weird and unfinished. We can’t have some lights in the cockpit but the Rafale can get modifications it only has on it’s export variant which isn’t the version we have in-game. Can see which one is Gaijin’s favourite.
Yep, we all agree that it looks just half finished this way, but the dev says so…
I mean, we are still missing some crucial MFD modes, like map with overlay and side view at the radar, so i would love that first.
It’s especially bad as critical information like current radar mode is displayed via them.
Mk1 & 2 are practically the same thing right? Are there any difference’s
Different production companies (Airbus and BAE) and AFAIK the Mk1 (Airbus) uses GaAs HEMTs as semiconductors while the Mk2 (BAE) uses both GaAs and GaN HEMTs.
nahhh they’re quite different
starts with the repositioner. the Mk1 is like the Mk0 and has a swashplate to keep the array upright while the Mk2 has just a simple ring which rotates the whole device. now to me that indicates that the mk2 will have some sort of max angle at which it has to rotate the other way while the mk1 doest but IRL its less mechanical things to wear out.
the TR module count is different, etc.
the brits obv say that mk2 is infinitely better but eh, we do not know.
Right, thanks
sorry Captor E mk2
Mk.2 is also supposed to have a larger focus on EW iirc. Germany also wants it for the Eurofighter EK and Mk.1 for the bormal Eurofighters
