Man. do we know if the Captor M is getting fixed, I’m tried of automatically switching to IR mode all the time and get killed. I haven’t been too active here so sorry if anybody has been discussing about it.

most likely only getting patched to the next major patch

I’ve decided not to use the TWS mode because it just won’t lock targets efficiently, even at sub 20 km ranges.

So instead I just use PD HDN when doing BVR. Not ideal, but at least I can get missiles off.

God I hope they do (My Steam Deck shall burn as a worthy sacrifice)

thats not what i wrote in my orignal message.

AMD GPUs support Raytracing, they arent as good as Nivida GPUs at that but they still manage to do that

Cool story, but the reason why Gaijin hasnt Raytracing for AMD yet is, its not released for it yet… the devs are still working on it

It was working on dev server and the first one or two weeks after the update dropped

You aren’t allowed to make any jokes as a fellow German, be careful or iam gonna report you to the authorities

I am aware, but they still want to work on it… so

this is a uhhhh strange render

What is the missile on the second outermost pylon supposed to be? The outermost ones look like ASRAAM and the bombs are GBU-48 i think, but those missiles I can’t make out at all

AGM-88 with the fins in the wrong place maybe? like the radar isn’t the right size so the modelling might be off all over the place

Maybe, but there’s a lot more than just fin-placement wrong for that.

Thanks

alarm yeah
also i think those are like gbu-10 or gbu-50

One little question out of the blue what is the maximum angle of detection on a captor E mk2 , since it is an AESA so 90° and applied on a mechanics stearing mecanism how much would that give it ?

Iirc it’s just touted as greater than 100 degrees or something

Edit yeah >100 degrees according to this slide from Leonardo

Yes, ±40° mechanical and ± 60° electronical steering, so a total scan area of 200° in azimuth and elevation.
The mechanical antena of the CAPTOR-M was able to steer ±70° in azimuth and ±60° in elevation, so that was reduced for the CAPTOR-E which most likely is because of the bigger size of the antenna with its TR-Modules.
