Why is the catcher so fond of locking on missiles and not on the enemy
I’m not wrong though, new the mechanics are often reserved for the “bigger” nations
Yes it was a flippant remark.
When HMD with IFF (copium)
If you shoot down your enemies missiles they can not harm you. Making you unkillable!
I don’t know they seem to have changed the code or RCS for all missiles to give all SPAA/SAMs a chance to shoot down missiles and bombs.
I feel we are experiencing this as a side affect
You can have it even right now. All you need is ally in front of you and TWS.
I mean real IFF and not those RNG radar IFF
Then no. As you can see on the screen below the HUD, in game EF is not connected to any DL, meaning no info. Smart devs.
Only France is allowed to have perfect 24/7 IFF with no emissions /s
The point i was getting at was, your guiding a missile in the rough location of the enemy and the missile itself can attain a lock later on. So whats the problem with it being less accurate? it only needs to be accurate to a point so saying it cant because it doesnt give precise positioning data for the DL is a moot point, but this is gaijin so i doubt they’ll give a shit considering the aluminium backing plate fiasco.
And my main point comparing the asraam to the amraam was that both are guided via DL to targets, the asraam is just known for the capability to use the irst to guide it (im pretty sure ive heard that so i dont mind being proven wrong on that). So, how can irst guide an ir missile to its target 20km away but it cant guide a radar guided missile, which honestly would have a better time finding the target due to not many things in the sky giving a radar sig.
So, unless weve invested this much money into the asraam’s long range “stealth” capability just for it to require guidance via radar (which seems stupid) i very much doubt the irst couldn’t guide an amraam at least out to 20km…
And the only reason i want this is because the irst on it is usable unlike its radar…
Any manual, It’s best to always show that something is declassified. In that case i was answering to the F-8 screenshots iirc.
In any case, it looks like “we don’t want to release this feature yet, and the proofs are classified, so leave us alone”. As I already said, I will not be surprised at all if they suddenly find evidence that PIRATE can launch AMRAAMs as soon as such systems appear on the planes of major nations.
With HMD Striker 2. We don’t have that one now. It’s HMD from Tranche 3, if I’m not mistaken.
Who wants to bet the Rafale is gonna get the ability to do so, but no other jet will?
There :
Are you feeling better now instead of saying french biais for whatever reason ?
any specific source suggesting that it is explicitly not possible with HMSS?
any specific source suggesting that it is explicitly possible with HMSS? You can’t refer to documents known to the entire Internet)
I know that the striker 2 is a much way more advanced device, but about the current HMD
