They are used to mount CFT’s.

Interesting, since as far as I am aware, there were never any Typhoons equipped with cfts in service. So the mountings are there just in case I guess? I could be wrong tho.

Yes, its there if it is ever needed.

Do you have still the christmas hangar or normal one?

What did they fix on the hmd?

As said they’re there for fitting CFTs. But one other useful thing about them is that they tell you at a glance whether a RAF or RSAF Typhoon is a Tranche 3 airframe, or not.

The British Typhoon in War Thunder should actually have these, according to the serial number written on the default skin

Ah that’s what you mean.
I thought you were talking about the hmd symbology in the cockpit

Ha…
Thats on ma Wishlist… but knowing gaijin will take 5 years IF ever…
Maybe in WT 2

Afaik they were added as a futureproof similar to Tranche 3 being built with exrra power and space availible for the new radar.

But CFTs were deemed unworkable and the aerodynamic penalties were not worth the compromise.

hmhmhmhmmh ok thanks

Just going off a quick test flight - the medium width TWS seems to work now, track boxes arent floating off into space anymore on the two mig 15s youre presented with - it’s an improvement to say the least

Edit - It works better, but at 20km it still struggles to guide 4 amraams to 4 targets, but maybe thats just becuase they’re slow, maneuvering Mig 15s

have they fixed the IRST range lock

@Gunjob are there allready news on the missing UV Filter in HUD report from you? :)
