Can someone tell me how i use the mixed laser/gps bombs ?
Can’t i ripple the to multiple targets like the GBU31 for example ?
you can, just gotta turn off the laser fast enough
There is also an option to turn off that the laser turns on automatically
In the settings, there is a option to prevent the laser from turning on automatically when using munitions that are laser guided. It allows you to use them like JDAMs but if you turn on the laser, all the Laser/GPS bombs will try to go for the laser, not just the last one you dropped
You can set different GPS co-ords but they’ll all go for the laser if it’s in their seeker fov, and once they pick the laser up the GNSS deactivates
Thx boys.
Yea i know about the auto laser turn on. I just don’t want to use it because i usually forget to turn it on because im so used to it beeing automatic.
has multipathing been changed? the ways I used to be able to defeat FOX 3s no longer works. It could be a server issue because I have high ping. Making it hard for me to play the Typhoon as I like to get into closer range.
Multipathing is still a thing.
Maybe you are flying to low and get hit by the splash damage of the missile you try to evade.
yeah I tried to fly in the 30m to 50m range but I think it could be the splash damage.
Damn it’s still missing a lot especially so when the prototype one exceeded 20d/sec with considerably less thrust. I do wonder what the actual number should be
did the typhoon have the capability to change color or increase the lighting of the HUD i cant see a thing in sim
Or give it a film for the light
Atleast not in warthunder.
Idk about Irl either but you would probably have a way to increase/decrease the brightness for night and day operations
Dont worry, i feel like im as good as you need to be at notching and yet my dodge chance still hovers around 80% simply due to gaijin jank. It requires some manoeuvring and not just 90 degree flying, as long as you stay within 5 degrees and manoeuvre your chance of dodging them is greatly increased. If your further out than 10-15km then i would recommend flying away slightly instead of perfectly perpendicular as it reduces the energy the missile has and makes it easier to defeat. All this just for your missiles to not spool up and die to the enemies 5th arh missile fired at you from 5km… I do all of this as ive given up with gaijin hitboxes as i die to trees more than actual enemies anymore due to half of them extending out further that is portrayed.
If you do it on the dials on a 90s VW Golf I would hope Typhoon would have it
If you fly in a straight line itll still hit you, try flying left and right. Especially if its coming top down as at that point multipathing means shit to it and it sees you just fine. In that case chaff like a madman when your maws go off (i switch it off and use it just to tell me if a missile is close or not) while shifting around staying bellow 60m as best you can. Even with all of this its 50/50 if you even dodge it so good luck.
Gaijin still doesn’t plan to fix Catcher M?
Well, according to current data, there is nothing to fix on radar ingame. Exept adding new mechanic for priority track.
What needs fixing is this, you want captor and russian radars fixed. Push gaijin into fixing this bug
https://community.gaijin.net/issues/p/warthunder/i/9yF0BF3nNrFl
In other words, Typhoon is going to use this bad catcher M all the time (this issue has been passed for seven months and Gaijin has not yet taken it.)
You can’t use any of your countermeasures if your wing tip comes off. Just the wing tip not the whole wing.
