When i flew gripen, 9Ms outright ignore them and R73 ignores them even at 2,5 km launch.

It doesn’t have a dedicated IR / UV MAWS (other than that prototype system that never went anywhere). However PIRATE could function as a long range MAWS system in the frontal hemisphere.
tested myself and i found 18-19mins of fuel + centerline works perfectly since having a little less fuel compensates for the extra given for takeoff so when i end up dropping my tanks i have exactly 20 mins

Feels great to handle when you get boosters upgrade
TWS works well in narrow band. A bandaitfix till they pull intern Igorovich from gulag to make the needed fixes.
The MAWS feels overwhelmingly sensitive and will have the general reaction of “YOU’RE GOING TO DIE. RUUUUNN ITS A F***ING MISSILE. NIGHTMARE NIGHTMARE NIGHTMARE” when said missile is about (what it feels like) 20km out. Not ideal.
Other than that. Its funny watching people find out the German one can as of typing this become a land bore drill and submerge itself underground.
Other than that. If we get A FNF ground option like i don’t know the brimstones being allowed to BE FNF and maybe if rhey let us have double mounts for 120’s i think it will be in a solid spot.
iirc, it should basically only deploy CMs if a missile is detected as a threat. They really need to model PD MAWS instead of slapping UV MAWS onto everything
Yeah its supposed to be able to ascertain both range and velocity of missiles to determine the ideal time to deploy countermeasures irl.
Itd be nice if to simulate this, the MAWS gave us a time to impact indicator for the detected missile. That way its not doing the work for us, but also allows us a greater degree of information regarding the threat.
Yep. Or even just as a stop-gap if it had IFF and filtered flares. So that it only deployed for enemy missiles.
Is it only me or pirate wont slave on radar track, tws or stt… It just looks forward. Both “optical” and irst should be slaved to radar track, even if irst cant see it or “camera” track it on its own. It should atleast point at it. I managed to slave it once in test drive and then never again.

plus why are they saying that the thrust is 18.000 kgf in total that is correct and in the game, we have engines that produce about 8670 kgf for each engine?

if that extra 10 KN is added it would also fix the super cruising problem, right ? plus it would also fix the problem with the thrust-to-weight above 1 with a full air-to-air payload plus the acceleration being from 0 to 1224 kmh under 30 seconds as it should be
The engines are lacking dry thrust but yeah, the radar is terrible. TWS soft locks constantly pick up false positives and drift something shocking.

I got it to supercruise at 1.39 Mach with 2 by 2 missile loadout and 20m of fuel - 9k metres.
isn’t it supposes to do that at deck lvl but at 1.20 Mach ?
