If that is the case I would not put it past them to simplify new additions by adding the corrected weights to the “empty weight”. Then they just adjust damaged engines with burning oil or overheating based on how long it takes to burn 30kg of oil.
IT’S TIME TO TURN THE F-111 INTO A BACKWARDS DRAGON
In RB the ability to DL 8 AIM120s is what makes the F-15E so good.
Typhoon will be as fast, climbs as well maybe the Radar will be as good? But you are still going to have to dodge and evade the AMRAAM wall if you want to play BVR with the F-15 and other Typhoons.
WVR is where the Typhoon should shine if you pilot isn’t constantly G-Locked …
Typhoon and F-15E climb equally well (Typhoon might even slightly outclimb the F-15E) and can at a minimum sling off 6x AMRAAM and DL them all. With a radar that is at worst, equal to it.
F-15E is gunna have to be just as careful in the early game AMRAAM Spam
Only if the aggrieved nation has met the necessary Gaijin social credit points, buying premiums. Only then are your complaints acknowledged
They will likely end up with more trades. It will be nice to have an AMRAAM slinger that isn’t a bus.
And not have to use the R Darter…
I do, okay in the FA2 and F3 Late, but man, the Typhoon is on a whole other level. Also really looking forward to the multirole payload you can run in gamemodes like Sim. 7x Paveway IVs wont have much of an impact on your FM and worse comes to worse, I just jettison them.
I would still wait for the final tuning of the Typhoon before drawing conclusions. As far as I remember, the first iteration of the dev FM of the Typhoon was just a dummy, whose thrust dropped significantly between the beginning of the dev and its end.
Yeah, but still. We have docs that state 36k ft and mach 1.6 in 2.5 minutes with full combat load.
I have no idea if there is an equivalent figure available for the F-15E, but that is still pretty insane.
By the time I unlock it will have eaten a few changes to the fm…Just like the Gripen did.
Now all Britain needs a good light tank/IFV so we can spawn the thing
most likely yes
try to find it in F-15E flight manual
Believe so, but it’d perhaps be nice to go semi fictitious and have a “Bugatti Beater” nose art or something like that haha
Could frame it as 29Sqn Skin and “just happen” to have it be the same one as seen.
Might I suggest that if it’s such an egregious difference to you, that you might endeavour to find the true values and then perhaps report it when you have sufficient evidence?
Captor C (Tranche 1) could track 20 targets and engage up to 8 at the same time.
Captor M increased the trackable targets to 40, but no known increase on the number it could engage.
6 at the same time, all mechanical captors could engage 6. Its tied to priority target track which is limited to 6.
I see a lot of talk about scan speed for the captor-M coming to the game, but what im more worried about is the volumetric scan rate.
The J-10A’s radar for example has a good scan speed, but the scan volume is a little lacking (40x10 or 80x5) for my liking. Id hope the EFT’s CAPTOR-M is more along the lines of the volumetric scan rate of the Su-34’s N001 (60x10°, there also a 60x20°, and 30x20°).
Im worried the EFT’s TWS might be fast but still not scan all that much, making it a pain to use in sim.
Well, it goes 1 / 2 / 4 / 6 / 8 bar, not sure how limited it is in TWS modes though.
There is huge issue with WT scans where you cant select bars and width in RWS.
Big thing about captor is priority track, which will simply miss in WT 100%.
It can track up 6 targets with higher refresh rate by always jumping to their elevation when antenna is on their azimuth. It can jump outside of scan area vertically too.
This pretty much allows you to designate 6 targets you want to keep updated and scan different area vertically / use wider scan with less bars, yet still get updates even though the targets are not in bar coverage.
Yeah i do know the bar numbers, but the actual bar width and height for each, as well as which is used for TWS (some could be used for ground modes or plain search modes only for example) still eludes me, and thats kind of the important part…
The N001V004 for examlle uses a 4 bar at 2.5° height scan for its 60x10° TWS mode, making each bar 2.5° in height, which is pretty small, but it scans FAST across said bars, so it being multiple thin bars isnt an issue as all.
The N009 in the Su-27 on the other hand is 50x10° TWS scan divided across 4 2.5° bars, which is a good volume, but the scan speed is glacial, making the radar a nightmare to use, since at the speed it scans, its volumetric scan rate is horrid.
This is further aggravated by the issue some have pointed out about repeating bars when a scan cycle is over.
Yeah thatd require a very high radar gimbal speed, the scan rate should therefore be very high (hopefully gaijin gets that right), which leaves the scan volume as the second and key part of the volumetric scan rate.
My hope (at a bare minimum). Fox Hunter like scan rate but with at least the 11° vertical scan region of the Blue Vixen (though being a heavily upgraded Blue Vixen, I dont think a small increase from 11° would be entirely unreasonable to hope for)
