Life’s achievement is bug reporting PIRATE in the 2070’s haha
Best way to use them…pre launch lock something blow it up. Rinse and repeat
You did it, Arrrrrrrr
Here your final Trophy
))))
Speaking of PIRATE do you know if any fixes for it are coming soon or atleast being worked on? Like Eurofighter - Missing PIRATE output MFD screen and Eurofighter Typhoon Missing FLIR Slaving so you can see targets from within the cockpit like other aircraft with IRST tracking pods like the Rafale or F-14B?
Shameless plug but its also missing Air-to-Ground search and tracking mode.
Interestingly in the feed we can see that it seems it was able to isolate its own targets and highlight them.
Not sure if that’s added in or part of the software?
Given how touchie the frenchies are:
Bugs reports are all in for the EFT, so fingers crossed we’ll get buffs next major update
But fixing TWS+ and actually adding the CAPTOR-M is probably the main priority at the moment
does the EFTs not have IRST? it doesnt appear to be an option when I switch through the modes
Which EFT?
Germany no, Britain and Italy yes
and there is seperate keybind for toggling between IRST and Radar
the british one
Edit: nvm just dumb
Didnt have a keybind set for it?
thought it was just on the radar search mode lmao didnt realise it had its own key bind lol
Hehehe.
I had a major crisis freeing up a keybind on my HOTAS to bind that
Ive been playing sim with mouse and keyboard lol
Definetly advantages to that, like easier head looking without head-tracking and much easier time using A2G weapons. I usually swap my hand from my HOTAS to my mouse when aiming A2G weapons in a tpod
Lowkey bugs me a lot theres no way to slave the tpod to my head movement in VR
Do you mean in the tpod view to move it about or do you mean using HMD to create a target point?
Tpod view to move it about. Its a bit jarring going from 3D view where head movement dictates where you’re looking, to 2D view where you have a flat screen, back to 3D view.
Theoretically, if I can make a target point with the HMD, I should be able to slave the tpod to my head movement. Im pretty sure theres actually an option to do exaftly that in-game, but it doesnt do anything when you turn it on.
Ooof yeah, that does sound pretty bad. Either htat or just need decent TPod MFDs and controllable Tpods from the cockpit
I assume the radar isnt meant to constantly lose lock with TWS and fail to pick up targets flying less then 10km in front of you
