Yes and no. It is perfectly capable of doing the extreme HOBS that things like IRIS-T can do, but its biggest strength is also its biggest weakness. Its extremely fast off the rails. This means it has a larger turning radius than missiles like IRIS-T which are very slow off the rails. (Think of it like turning radius of a car, one traveling really fast and the other very slow. ) So whilst it will be able to do HOBS, it will need a little more thought, but they should really be used more like R-27ETs as an almost psuedo BVR missile
It has a higher Str than the rafale at every speed
From what i’ve seen of late. Rafale will pull 20+Gs without ripping and the Typhoon falls apart if you try to do more than about 12. When it should be the Rafale rips at 16G and the Typhoon at 18G or something like that
and is still underperforming in STR :D

Yeah, that was one thing that put me off quite a bit for the first 3 months. Every match was Typhoon vs Typhoon for me and it was kinda dull.
Germany really needs to be a swing nation like France and Sweden are these days, but the issue is, the EFT and Rafale carry the Redfor teams currently

Not true I think. Even if it is that only makes it easier for Rafale to pull on to your six o’clock at the moment. ITR, max G-Load and AOA stuff.

Every ASB match iv’e done in the EFT recently is F-15s and F-18s. Ive been consistantly the only EFT on my team. Rarely a second.

Well, it is always fun to me when you get one singular rafale ping on RWR and then they disappear (bc they switched to irst) and you already know what is coming in the next 30 seconds

Winning rate fights is nice but it is not the only way as Mirage pilots would tell you.
Currently Rafale will likely pull on your six somewhat easily.
If missiles are involved you now just die in War Thunder’s Eurofighter.
Perhaps at speeds below 900 km/h Eurofighter can outrate Rafale in a guns only fight but you will likely never reach that speed.
Dosen matter much because rafale is going to bleed speed and you also have a higher Str when bleeding speed.
Max G-pull and AoA aren’t deciding factors if you play the EF correctly
I tend to stick at max range. Between the useless radar that needs a few years of micro managing to get to lock onto anything and the weapons better suited for BVR than WVR. If im getting RWR pings from something like an Su-30 or Rafale and I cannot find the target on radar, I go full defensive and run away.
Current War Thunder Rafale will be just pointing it’s nose. And at the speeds you are likely to fly at in AIR RB it will have more than enough speed/energy to exchange for positioning while Eurofighter will actually struggle to bleed speed.
