Eurofighter Typhoon (UK versions) - Technical data and discussion

Yes the SAL version

Not the IR

fake news

Primary sources would disagree. But sure.

Well the source you showed doesn’t sooooo

Says that the seeker is low tech and can’t lock tanks and is only active within 1.5km

Please send us more primary sources. It went so well for us last time.

Where does it explicitly say it can’t lock tanks and can only hit stationary targets?

Figure 2 literally shows how the seeker acquires the target at two different locations from the original estimated target coordinates which demonstrates it can hit moving targets.

Hmm big area looks nothing like a tank

If i squint and step like 10 steps back it could look like a blob (tank from a distance) clearly proof enough

Figure 3 has no tank it is just recognising an area not a tank so it is proof that it can’t lock tanks unless you have other wise

It is based of previous IR images of the area

Landmarks are used to ensure greater accuracy especially in cluttered environments. But they are not necessary.

Besides, this is the Eurofighter thread.

give a source where it states it can lock onto tanks
