Figure 3 has no tank it is just recognising an area not a tank so it is proof that it can’t lock tanks unless you have other wise
It is based of previous IR images of the area
Here is your Figure 2 explained. And no, unlike you i will not start calling names.
Non-English people are stupid everyone. He said it himself.
Landmarks are used to ensure greater accuracy especially in cluttered environments. But they are not necessary.
Besides, this is the Eurofighter thread.
give a source where it states it can lock onto tanks

guys what are yall doing
I already have. It probably got community flagged, though. So why should I bother again?
you mean this?
it doesnt say it can lock onto tanks
No.
Yes
Why are we even going this far to explain it, the manufacturer SAFRAN them selves said that the IR aren’t used to attack tanks and moving targets, that’s why there is a laser version for this exact purpose
They even put a vehicle shape on the second image to make things clearer
remove ir hammers haha
worse penguin missles yeah
so you mean the source that states:
“INFRA-RED FOR PERCISON STRIKES ON FACILITIES”
@Gunjob Are you aware if the Devs allready had the idea of making the Brimstone similar to an LJDAM, were you can change its mode?
Like:
SAL Mode as currently with laser stays, but you could also take an shot via IOG and the Brimstone would see the target at range (insert: Balanced range here) and lock it(If the Target didnt moved to much)?
Maybe this would be an Idea of having an Kinda Fire and forget Brimstone without making it stronger than the KH-38MT/Hammer
IR AASMs are preferred for highly cluttered environments and precision within a metre.
dosent say anything about tanks tho
but i think it is pretty good to hit within 1 meter of a house
you mean SAL
