but even then would be the question still why?
because I dont have the radar elevation on an keybind
PIRATE would have significantly less situational awareness @Flame2512 .
Turns out it is currently 63° x 40° not 64° x 40°. Doesn’t matter either way, it is still wrong.
You should be manually controlling your radar elevation if ur playing sim (or top tier in general tbh) as to why its pointing up a bit if you dont have keybinds set, idk, maybe the last target you tracked went up and pulled the radar up with it before the lock was lost.
Top-tier? I recently discovered the first generation Harriers… (many years after flying in ARB GR.3 a long time ago) This is simply ridiculous. In the game, the first generation holds a sustained turn with an overload of 5g on clean wings. IRL - 6.5g, as I understood from the data on this forum. And this is a two-seater version with drop tanks and air-to-air missiles. That is, the game Harrier did not receive about 1.5-2g of overload in a sustained turn. So this tradition is quite old :D
P.S. I also have questions about the Hunter flight model. It’s like wings were attached to a train. It can only fly straight. Only the snail placed it in BR, where simply flying fast is no longer enough.
Su-27 is designed to take advantage of it.
Typhoon is designed to not need it.
Typhoon also doesnt have a missile ingame to leverage that ability.
Of course but they really hate high tier vehicles in Brit tree.
And how long the harrier has been in game it’s really poor it has taken 3 year to fix it.
CR2 and 3
ADATS…
No top tier light tank
Warspite
Rodney
And now Typhoon…
Thats just the tip
Fully loaded Su-27 pulling max AOA and not ripping wings off is hilarious.
Its so dumb lol
well, and how do you want to explain Radar HMD not beeing able to get an lock either?
no clue, i recommend just checking the sensor view in the replay.
buddy, I wont go and watch an replay which is over 2 hours long… sure i could run it with 16x but would still quite a few minutes…
Send it here then, a lot of people here have some time to burn
So what? Rafale’s OSF is better than Eurofighter’s PIRATE. This is not suprising at all.
It should be a ‘lot less’ for PIRATE btw :)
Accidentally deleted the previous post so i’'ll point it out here. Your bug report uses sources only referring to the detector itself.
Now I don’t know how familiar you are with sensors, or the english language for that matter, but this means the FOV of the detector itself is roughly 11x8 degrees. It is established the sensor can rotate within its housing as visible on the IRST itself, with visible pivots
and your bug report has already been responded to demonstrating you are wrong.
This is fishing line. There isn’t even a lure.
63°x40° is the default scan pattern in game. It is not the instantons FoV of the sensor. The FoV of the sensor is the little green square that moves around inside the scan pattern.
There is already a report submitted for PIRATE being able to scan the entire field of regard in MTT mode IRL.
If anything, the FOV of the sensor itself is too low and that report would actually constitute a buff lol. Current AngleHalfSens in the datamine is two degrees and that change would exponentially improve the scan rate.
If I understood you all correctly, then a beam measuring 11x8 should “run” across a 64x40 field?
Correct
OSF has an aspect ratio of 4:3 meaning it should have a better FOV.
PIRATE has an aspect ratio of 4.3 meaning it should have a worse FOV.
