Eurofighter Typhoon (UK versions) - Technical data and discussion

those source doesnt include the double railing

so with @Gunjob sources for sraam double railing the Eurofighter can take a 12 A2A missle loadout

Just saying 10 air-to-air missiles can be carried is no use unfortunately, because it could be refering to the Twin Missile Carrier loadout (4 MRAAM + 6 SRAAM).

eh the first picture still would be good to go then

if we dont get cas capable typhoons on release at least let us murder everything in air

Maybe, but it’s still better than nothing

The problem is that so far that first image is the only somewhat reliable evidence for AMRAAM on the inner wing pylons, and it contradicts multiple other documents which imply or outright state AMRAAMs are not carried there.

So I expect Gaijin will want more evidence.

If they added double rail pylons for the su27sm why should they need more proof for the Eurofighter though

Does Saudi Arabia or other Typhoon users have IR-guided CAS ammunition?
According to Gaijin’s prejudice against MMV missile, I’m afraid we need to find another way.
Otherwise, another useless SAL ammunition VS KH38MT is still very “balanced”

More evidence that amraams could be carried on the inner pylons Eurofighter Typhoon - Nothing Comes Close

Looks to me as if Saudi just uses Paveway IV and Brimstone same as the UK.

I remembered this when even multiple videos was released on YT stating and showing how the Gripen suddenly behaved different, i also noticed it ingame without anything showcased on the changelog. Hope still remains that they can buff some parts to make it more viable in the future until we see the “E” model.

it was also tested on some Italian eufighter

Yeah, Italy’s ISPA4 (MM7306) was used for initial flight test in 2020, as Leonardo were managing the sale of Typhoon to Kuwait who were taking delivery of the planes the year after.
More recent trials have been carried out in Spain with IPA4 as that’s the primary single-seat development airframe for air-to-surface weapons integration.

As far as I know full Sniper integration is still ongoing, but it’s part of P3Eb

There is way more going for the 82v1 being better than the captor e than the other way around.

It’s outright larger, is coming off of decades of US experience with AESA, and more than likely is more powerful

And to me it seems you just have a bad faith argument for eft being same BR as the current F-15

One definite advantage of CAPTOR-E is the repositioner giving it +/- 100 degrees of coverage instead of +/-70°.

it will be intrsting to see if they implement the tilting of the radar it self

Are the PESA and AESA radars in the game limited in their range the further they search from the 0° centerline like in real life? That’s one of the advantages the CAPTOR-E has compared to other AESA without a repositioner, after all.

it has drawbacks, makes it so the fighter is more or less completely blind on the other side

It takes literally a couple of seconds to reposition the antenna to point the other way. If you want to keep the antenna centred and have the same coverage as a conventional AESA then you can, but having the ability to move the antenna off centre when you want to is clearly a benefit.
