I thought that firing beyond the gimbal limits like the 120D was LOAL, but is that not the case?
It is kinda, but you can do that with 120Bs and C5s.
Just the GNSS makes it better, but IOG can do it too
55° gimbal limit is far too weak compared to the radar’s capabilities, and there have been many situations where it put me a disadvantage

They are not HOBS missiles and I never try and fire them in HOBS.
I fire straight and then turn to notch after firing.
We need ASRAAM and IRIS-T to give a HOBS weapon
@Smin1080p_WT and @Gunjob Why was mach limit added to the Paveway IV evem though there is proof showing it can be dropped super sonic and even the report mentioned that it could drop it super sonic on the Typhoon

@Smin1080p_WT I feel questions need to be answered over why a report with no sources attached (therefore invalid according to the CBR rules) was no only passed, but actioned, despite multiple reliable sources which stating supersonic release of Paveway IV is possible?
Just as a recap. The manufacturer of the ALDERU and AHDERU (the weapons ejectors used on Eurofighter) states they are designed to release stores throughout the entire fight envelope of the aircraft (that is up to Mach 2):
A presentation from Eurofighter GmbH also states supersonic Paveway IV is possible from P2E onwards:

I think its time for Gaijin to totally overhaul how they handle “supersonic release” for every aircraft/weapon, because it all seems very arbitrary

I see that argument floating around very often.
But it’s actually not always true.
In many situations in both SB and RB, you are essentially 1v1 or 1 vs. many so there is no risk in launching the missiles in mad dog mode.
In fact, if you ask me, the game should also allow firing the IR missiles without lock (at least for ones that can do that IRL).
This would increase the need for discipline to fire the missiles after ensuring a good signal/tone, but also allow firing the missiles slightly out of range if you for example know that the target will get into seeker range shortly after launch.
