Ha ha its 350mm long 😆
Assert air superiority
1- Many aircrafts now have friendly markers shown on the HMD.
But when the target is in the frontal cone, you have to look side-ways to active the full HMD symbology to see these markers.
I don’t know how these function IRL, but it sure seems a little silly for the pilot to have to look sideways to activate the HMD symbology to check if the target in front of him is friendly or not …
Wouldn’t it be better if the friendly markers (rather than full HMD symbology) was always active even when the pilot is looking forward?
2- To take it a step further, would it be better for the HMD radar lock box symbol to appear as soon as the locked target leaves the HUD area rather than only when you are looking sideways to activate the HMD?
If someone finds these too obstructive, there’s a keybinding that people could use the toggle the HMD.
Thanks
Or a drop down air battle setting.
Something like:
- off
- HUD obscured
- always on
+some vehicles have allready a Allways On HMD were everyone seems to be fine as no one complains, found on Helis which is a Multi Nation Project.
Also, we have allready a option to turn off the HMD, so need Allways on HMD
could that be just because they dont actually have a proper HUD? just a theory…
Wouldnt be the first time they treated helis entirely differently (Directional exhausts for example)
Can you add 12 Fox3s? We only have 8 in the simulator game.
I feel I need a tutorial on the new Radar mechanics.
Currently when I spawn in ground battles my Radar is set to TWS normal, with aircraft and helicopters as the selected filter.
So why does it only show or lock on to friendly contacts? The TGP is the same I am trying to use it to hit a ground target and its trying to lock a friendly aircraft?
Surely Gaijin don’t actually think the Typhoon doesnt have an IFF system for the Radar and sensors?
The IFF mode is the symbol in the bottom left
The radar slaving overriding manual Tpod targeting is probably something that needs to be bug reported. I might do it tomorrow if I remember too
That was it thank you!
Another thing that is sorely need especially for SB is for target point to stay in place when it leaves the TPOD angular limits while you are in the TPOD view …
Yeah. Could do with something like a “lock” for the target point. Enable it, and it wont move until you unlock it
Ironically I was happy to read the changelog when they added the new aiming point mechanic and when I saw the new keybinds.
But when the targeting point moves out of TPOD angular limits it also moves the linked aiming point with it :)
Oh damn, that is genuinely stupid.
Ive not used the Aiming points yet, outside of the one match in top tier NE I did before getting a headache from the RWR
I hope the C-8 appears in major update. With LOAL, it would become even stronger in SB.
it won’t be
All AMRAAM are LOAL when fired beyond seeker range? What makes the C-8 any different? Unless you mean different launch limits?
Maybe he is expecting to mad dog C8s and then acquire a radar lock afterwards. Idk
