Naval strike missile successor currently in development by Kongsberg. But its supposed to be a VLS/Submarine launched anti ship missile with no plans to make an air launched version atm.

Testing the new missile changes yesterday the 120Cs feel abit better than the Bs do but im not sure if thats just me or not. Overall aside from the wobble they do I quite like them on the Typhoon so far now(i am rusty as heck at air though)
I tried a few games, and had so many just tumble out the sky, that im not gunna bother trying again for at least a week.
Yup thats why i want one for planes. A mach2-3 ASM with currently planed 800-1k km range would be nice.

Timeframe-wise, theres also GCAP to consider, which is expected in 2035, while the US has been doing its absolute best to burn every bridge its ever had.
Id find it somewhat surprising to see the UK, or really any self respecting and remotely intelligent military, to be investing more into not only an inferior product, but one that is likely compromised by an arguably hostile, and highly unstable nation, over its own superior weapon system, likely developped to be integrated out the door with their next gen fighter coming within ~4y of the block 4 upgrade…

LRASM is arguably better than Stratus LO when you consider the 206" airframe being closer in size to Stratus LO with considerably higher range estimates, a comparable seeker, and comparable stealth
Tf do you mean “considerably higher rqnge estimates”? Stated range for LRASM by LM is “>200nmi” and Stratus LO is estimated to be 270nmi on the low end, and up to 540nmi, and its not even fully developped yet. On the low end, Stratus LO is estimated to outrange LRASM…
Stratus LO will also be ~15y newer when put into operation, likely with better sensors/warhead/RAM coatings, etc… that werent/arent available for LRASM.
Idk tf you’re on, but no, the LRASM which began development in 2009, and entered service in 2018 is probably not going to have any capability advantage over a brand new LO cruise missile in development as we speak. The blatant 'murica jack-off fest has to stop. Y’all arent 20y ahead of everyone anymore like you were in some fields back at the tail end of the cold war. And certainly not in missile development.

JASSM-XR airframe is 1000-1200 mile range. with LM new FLEX in the works LRASM guidance can be put on the XR 206" airframe. regular JASSM/LRASM is 168"
for very high trajectory land attack, more than likely 200nmi on lrasm is for a low level flight path

So the same missile, but they significantly increase the size and weight by offering a much longer midsection to it.
Sensors and avionics will still be a decade behind, as well warhead tech, unless the customers pay more to replace those to, at which point its a LRASM in name only, cuz they’d basicly have done what the US loves doing and just reusing the same airframe and or form factor they’ve been using for as long as possible while replacing bits and bobs inside sometimes to maximize their profit margin.

LRASM at its base is basicly just an american SCALP with new sensors and avionics and a slightly different shape. Theres a reason theres only 1 other operator nation atm, while all other nations that expressed interest in it during development dropped out, and its not because the thing is so fantastic the US wont sell it to anyone…

those have been getting upgraded throughout the missile’s life
you realize its closer to the size of Stratus LO than regular JASSM-ER/LRASM right?
the reason is that its pretty tightly export controlled. its also more expensive than a Harpoon or NSM which are also capable enough for most countries needs.
cope harder, JASSM-ER low end public figures are comparable to the most favorable high end estimates for Stratus LO.

Damn the AESA radar needs better vertical scan modes.
Finding it so hard finding and searching for targets after going cold because the scan zones are just awful.
Sucks that we get this gimped rubbish that scans like a mech-scan radar - slowly and only in a small area.
just fly high and work from the high to low enemies. Give Fox3 twice if they try to chase you.
Orr perhaps you’re not resetting your radar and your radar gets stuck on last position after notching?
Gaijin buffed the turn performance, but it’s not picking up any speed during matches, which is just fantastic. Is it completely useless in RB now? It’s still manageable in SB
