Hey, we’ll be more than happy to remove the 8x Spice-250s and gain 18x mode 3 Brimstone 2/3s instead.
Literally no one wants Spice-250s over Brimstone 2/3s
People are acting like we gained a powerful weapon that we should not have and the Typhoon is overperforming compared to IRL. That is simply false.
Not only is it a pretty poor weapon that is buggy as hell at the moment, that barely seems to actually go for the target you direct it at. Its a fraction of the performance of the actual FnF A2G weapon we should actually have. Id quite gladly take 6x Mode 3 Brimstone 1s over the 8x Spice-250s, let alone Brimstone 2 or 3s. Go from 6 to 18, and there is just no competition anymore.
I wonder how Gaijin would rectify it if they add the German Tranche 4 when it would/could be a downgrade due to lack of IRST on the Tranche 4. Or do they just not add the Tranche 4 and keep using the “AESA Eurofighter”.
it’s funny because they limit the german EFT to the 90° ECRS instead of the 100° one because “Germany bought ERCS Mk 1” but the same apparently doesn’t apply for them not buying PIRATE (except on test airframe)
By Gaijin’s own standard, they look at what the operational airframes have when it comes to IRST, so that technical compatibility wouldn’t apply to the Tranche 4, they can get away with it on the AESA Typhoon cause it’s not an operational airframe.
Who cares what I think, we’re looking at what Gaijin is going to do with these vehicles.
So if Tranche 4 in the future is meant to represent “operational airframe” of the Quadriga, it won’t have IRST I suppose?
Apparently the case here is that the German EFT is supposed to be a mixture of what was tested and what has been planned to come in the future. I’m not 100% sure, so in that sense German EFT has just the ECRS and also the IRST. But it does leave a bit of a question on what happens in capability difference compared to the Tranche 4 which the operational airframes will not have IRST.
The context of the post matters though, I just meant that I’m speculating on what Gaijin might do with the next addition of Eurofighters going by their previously stated rules such as denying the German Typhoon its IRST due to the operational airframes not having it. Someone then asked me in regard to compatibility of another aircraft which still doesn’t break Gaijin’s previously stated rules.
It’s not a contradiction if the Typhoon AESA in-game isn’t meant to be representative of an operational airframe. Only the German mechanical Typhoon was meant to be representative of an operational airframe.
It’s still not representative of an operational airframe though, even though it incorporates upgrades from the Tranche 4 and what has been tested as well. Otherwise do you think we won’t see any other EFT being added anytime in the near future?
