Eurofighter Typhoon (UK versions) - Technical data and discussion (Part 2)

MP is, inconsistent…

Sometimes works perfectly other times you just blown out of sky no where.

Golden reason to make it consitent by making it 1m

Not sure that would be a great idea as it would make defending against spaa especially hard, with some even getting data link meaning your dead if you cannot find cover which is impossible on some maps.

50m is low enough i think, only way i could see it getting lowered is if they lowered the treeheight as they are already set at 50m making it annoying as is. 25m if they added variation in the tree heights ranging from 20-50m.

No chief even most modern missiles doesnt have 1mt MP iirc.

At 13.3-14.3 vast majority of people don’t know how to evade other than multipathing. It is no different than 2 years ago where you would sling ERs from 25nm away and score kills.

Well that’s true as it depends from missile to missile.

Though I’d prefer to see people rely more on a good notch than RNG multipath.

Even tho I’m against lowering mp more player should learn how to notch effectively.

Agree but still 1mt mp is too much against multiple sam system.

We see on Pantsir SM where it can ignore mp with radar lock and shows how dangerous it is.

Really?

How does it bypass MP though?

Though I understand the point you made with sams, especially ones with big warheads.

By being hand guided, while its missile also missing proxy min height (as it has no proxy).

It’s a missile detonated via datalink. Tracking radar determines when to detonate it. And since there’s no need to accomodate the Z axis into proximity calculations - the missile detonates at the right time even if the tracking radar would get spoofed by MP. If it does get spoofed by MP at all, which I think it doesn’t.

MP was removed from every ground based radar, even from the older types which should still suffer from it lol

It is not.
In Arcade it is gone, in Realistic multipath is there, just as a second, more transparent bracket, the lock continues to track the real target.
In sim the lock goes to multipath directly, in all systems, modern or old.

That will explain why the radar in the Rapier feels different in GSB…

The transparent box being still present doesn’t change the fact that multipath was effectively removed from all radar SPAA in ground RB as well

However I genuinely did not know that they keep full multipath across all BRs in sim.
But then again, it’s a rule for every ground based radar as a gameplay mechanic rather than a realistic implementation of modern radars having better multipath rejection algorithms while older radars should rightfully still have that modeled

I love the Union Jack scheme for Vespina. Such a good look.

Looks good on any plane too in fairness like the governments VIP transport Airbus A321-251NX(LR)

Was actually carrying King Charles when I took the photo. Was when he left for the American 250 state visit back at the end of April.
