Eurofighter Typhoon (UK versions) - Technical data and discussion (Part 2)

Its overperfoming at all ranges and all speeds
its overperforming in thrust, max aoa, str, itr, Cy^a, inertia moments, Cxi, Сx

go learn how aerodynamic works, this is the only advantage of the chosen balancing scheme

No, its already in the game. flaps0 polar is already overperfoming mirage polar at high alpha, which is already using same vortex creation method as in amk.

I would suggest you take your own advice, Ivan.

Typhoon was designed expressly to be superior to anything the Soviets had in development or inventory. It worked and then some.

Just because the Russians at the Tomsk Tractor Factory do not understand how Delta Wings + Canards work - doesn’t mean the rest of the world are not similarly…inhibited.

Im looking forward to the mass of inevitable Eurocanard buffs when the F-22 and Su-57 are added…

Where were you hiding those documents Gaijin

1 more year of Rafale dominance

It’s crazy we still don’t have any implementation sensor fusion in the slightest after 1.5 years, only thing they worked on was countermeasure fusion.

There are accepted bug reports to buff the ITR and STR. It also likely has too much drag at high alt resulting in it underperforming in acceleration.

Super cruise should also be better

AMK is NOT in game yet. If it was then we need a pretty major FM buff, like the roll rate should be increased by 100% for example

Why would the roll-rate increase in-game? Most planes at top tier are already at the maximum in-game limitation of roll-rate speeds (maximum in-game allowable roll rate is 200 deg/s).

🤣
share report link please, wanna see it

MythicPI did a full breakdown on AMK

But that’s the relevant quote of the post

AMK is an extension of the control surfaces that is not yet modeled.

I see. That part is probably because all modern planes restrict roll-rate according to load carried and AMK would loosen this restriction, but this restriction isn’t implemented in-game in the first place so it wouldn’t have any affect in-game in terms of roll-rate.

And how does the expansion of control surfaces affect the lift force coefficient?🤣

Reports regarding super cruise where closed as “marketing lies”

And reports regarding high alt acceleration are basically impossible to bug report as there aren’t any sources if I recall correctly. But the typhoon is slower than the F15 and Rafale and shouldn’t be

thank you

No, it “wouldn’t”. There’s a very substantial reason why the AMK increases roll rate (in some regimes) and it has nothing to do with restrictions, but energizing the stream around wing’s MAC. If you had any idea how does the Rafale fly, in the first place, you would know.

This is AMK. It increases the size of the wing control surfaces, the lerx and adds Strakes

It has not yet been added to any of the EFTs in-game

Well I’m gonna refrain too much from speaking on something I’m not well aware on, but the in-game implementation of roll-rate for eurocanards is 200 deg/s maximum and they have 270 deg/s IRL, so already the implementation of AMK in-game isn’t going to help with roll-rates anyway.

Interestingly, aircraft like the Alpha jet, Tornado, and F-18 Hornets have no issues achieving 270 degrees roll-rate while the eurocanards are nerfed in this aspect.

very fun reports, lol, keep going guys 🤣🤣🤣

for what gross weight is this value?

If I were to hazard a guess, AMK would enable max roll rate at any altitude and with any warload. At the moment with PW4s and up high, I don’t think you can achieve the max roll rate

Edit: Tested it, with 80% fuel, 2+8 A2A missiles and 6x PW4s I could only get 160 deg/sec. Alt didnt actually seem to have that big of an impact on roll rate.

So I would guess that AMK would increase the limit and enable the max or at least much higher roll rates with these higher payload weights

(tested on the dev with the new instructor)
